After more than two years of hard work by the builders, Phoenix Stadium, one of the core venues of the new sports center in Xiamen, recently passed the acceptance test and ushered in the first CBA All-Star Game.

It is understood that the Phoenix Stadium has a construction area of about 155,000 square meters, with five floors above ground and one floor underground, with 18,000 fixed seats and more than 2,500 activity seats, making it the largest single gymnasium in the country. With its unique architectural shape, super-curvature roof and curtain wall, and bowl-shaped field core design, the shape of Phoenix Stadium has the charm of the traditional big house curve in southern Fujian, which is ancient and new, and majestic.

Although the shape is unique, at that time, it brought great challenges to the construction, the most difficult of which was the hoisting of the roof steel structure. The Phoenix Stadium is 326 meters long from east to west, with a north-south span of 350 meters, and the entire steel structure roof is supported by two giant arches in the north and south.

The two giant arches adopt rectangular space pipe trusses, which are one of the main stressed components of the roof steel structure, and the overall inclination is 22 degrees to the outside of the field, and the roof steel structure has a large space span, high steel processing standards, and difficult hoisting construction, and the installation height reaches 85m, which is equivalent to the height of an ordinary residential building 28 floors. The cross-sectional size of the steel pipe is up to 1500mm×65mm, and the maximum weight of a single component is up to 221 tons, which is heavy and difficult to weld.

In order to ensure the efficiency of the construction, the construction party selected one SCC11000TM and one SCC3500A to participate in the construction. Wu Shaozheng, an operator of Xiamen Lichang Machinery Co., Ltd., said: "The two giant arches are hoisted in multiple sections, and then welded in the air, which is twice as difficult as the construction. It not only tests the stability of the hoisting equipment, but also tests my operation skills. ”

"I'm working on this SCC11000TM, it's solid and it's very safe to use. The hydraulic system and control system are also very good, one by one, and it is very suitable for this kind of high-intensity operation requirements. ”

Through reasonable personnel deployment and distribution, while focusing on quality, the project actually completed the target task 15 days ahead of the original plan. In addition to SCC11000TM and SCC3500A, in the past 880 days of total construction period, hundreds of machinery and equipment from Sany entered the site, providing a strong guarantee for the timely completion of the project.

As a key livelihood project in Fujian Province and a major strategic initiative of Xiamen City to implement "100 billion industries and cross-island development", Xiamen New Sports Center can host a series of domestic and international high-level events after completion. In the future, it will become a new landmark in Xiamen, building a broad platform for the further development of Xiamen's sports industry and injecting new vitality.
