Xiangcheng County, known as the "thoroughfare of nine provinces" since ancient times, and was also praised by Chairman Mao as the "Kingdom of Tobacco Leaves", is the hometown of Chinese tobacco culture and the research base of Chinese tobacco culture. The county has well-developed transportation, 20 kilometers away from Pingdingshan in the south of the coal city, 40 kilometers away from the ancient capital Xuchang in the north, 70 kilometers away from Zhengzhou International Airport, and 45 kilometers away from Luohe in the east. Mengping, Pingyu railway runs through the territory, 311 national highway and 329, 238, 103 three provincial highways converge in the county, Xuping South Expressway through the border.
The G311 Xiangcheng County Section Structural Repair and Maintenance Project is a section of the structural repair and maintenance project from Huangmiao to Xiangcheng County of the G311 Lianluan Line, starting from Huangmiao Village, Jian'an District, passing through Shizhuang and Siwang to the west, and ending at the junction of Xiangcheng County and Jian'an District, with a total length of 5.597 kilometers. The maintenance project maintains the existing line type and technical standards, and the main work includes structural repair and maintenance of road cracks, ruts, longitudinal and transverse cracks, block cracks and other diseases within the range of starting station K670+300 to ending station K675+897.
