Recently, in the world's longest undersea highway tunnel - Jiaozhou Bay Second Undersea Tunnel, the cutterhead of the 600-ton "Haitian" shield machine has successfully completed the drilling work and is about to enter the drilling work.



With a total length of 142 meters and a total weight of 5,166 tons, the "Haitian" shield machine is equipped with a series of intelligent systems such as telescopic main drive and telescopic excavation bin monitoring system. The tunnel excavation diameter is 15.63 meters, which is equivalent to the height of a five-story building.


The cutterhead is a key link in the assembly process of the "Haitian" crane, and the crawler is SCC12000TM by Beijing Yi'an Hoisting Engineering Co., LtdcraneUndertake the main crane.



Xiao Yingyu of Beijing Yi'an Hoisting Engineering Co., Ltd. introduced: "The site for the construction of the second tunnel in Jiaozhou Bay is very limited, and the shield structure is even narrower after arriving at the site. Although only a short distance is needed to move during the hoisting process, considering that it is a super-large component and has high requirements for safety and stability, two Sany crawler cranes are finally used to work together, the main crane is an 800-ton crawler crane SCC12000TM, and the other auxiliary crane is a 400-ton crawler crane SCC4000A-2. ”




In this construction, the main crane SCC12000TM adopts the 42-meter main boom with 390 tons of over-lifting configuration conditions, with a lifting radius of 17 meters and an over-lifting radius of 20 meters. After about 3 hours of operation, the cutterhead and the body were firmly combined.



The second tunnel project of Jiaozhou Bay is the world's largest and longest submarine highway tunnel, and it is also the largest cross-section of the submarine tunnel where the drilling and blasting method and the shield method are docked. At present, the three shield machines planned to be invested in the Qingdao shield section, "National Signal", "Haitian" and "Deep Blue", have all been "reported" to the project. According to the plan, it will be completed and put into operation in December 2027.
