The only one in the industry! The national standard for digital twins compiled by Sany Heavy Machinery was officially released!

On November 27, the "Information Technology Digital Twin Part 1: General Requirements" jointly issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China was officially released, which is planned to be implemented on June 1, 2024, with the national standard number GB/T 43441.1-2023. Among the more than 80 participating units in the country, Sany Heavy Machinery is the only enterprise from the construction machinery industry.

The national standard "Information Technology Digital Twin Part 1: General Requirements" is the first cross-industry general national standard in the field of digital twins.

The project date of the national standard is August 2021, and the project number is 20213298-T-469, which is led by the China Electronics Standardization Institute. Dr. Lu Yangyang, Deputy General Manager of Sany Heavy Machinery Kunshan Company and Director of Big Data Institute, as an expert in digital twins in the manufacturing field, received an invitation from China Electric Standardization Institute to participate in the editing, during which he organized a national expert seminar and completed the compilation of "Definition of Digital Entity" and "Application Value of Digital Twin in Manufacturing Industry". This work has also been affirmed and supported by the leaders of Sany Heavy Machinery.

As the first general national standard in the field of digital twins, the standard will play a normative and programmatic guiding role in the research and development and application of digital twins in all walks of life in the future, so the preparation of the national standard has attracted the attention of scientific research institutions and enterprises across the country, in addition to Sany Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., there are more than 80 industry-university-research representative units such as ZTE, CRRC, Tencent, Alibaba, Neusoft, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Huazhong Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, etc. The development of the standard lasted two years, more than 20 seminars were organized, and more than 100 experts from different industries participated in the discussion and writing. To this end, the China Electronics Standards Research Institute organized a special discussion with all experts in June 2022, and the representative of Sany Heavy Machinery made a report entitled "How Digital Twins Create Value for the Manufacturing Industry", which received enthusiastic responses from all experts, and many experts expressed their feelings and believed that they had a strong resonance with "the value of digital twins can be closed-loop".

Sany Heavy Machinery Big Data Institute was born under the Digital Headquarters (now "Digital Intelligence Headquarters"), and its R&D team has not forgotten its original intention for more than three years. In 2023, breakthroughs will be made in two projects: manufacturing process simulation (project code: Apollo Project) and operational decision simulation optimization (project code: Galileo Project), and the independent independent research and development of the two core technologies of discrete event simulator and operation research optimization solver will be successful, breaking the technical monopoly of foreign commercial software, and realizing the core of digital twin technology that can truly reduce costs and increase efficiency for enterprises. In the practical application of Kunshan company, Mr. Song Shankui, director of digital intelligence of Sany Heavy Machinery, said: "These two self-developed core technologies can be more suitable for the construction machinery industry than the modules of commercial software, bringing higher benefits and returns, and have begun to be promoted and applied from Kunshan company to other manufacturing bases across the country.
