The Shandong section of the Jinan-Zhengzhou high-speed railway is 170 kilometers long, with a total of 4 new stations, from east to west, Jinan Changqing Station, Liaocheng Chiping South Station, Liaocheng West Station, and Xinxian Station. The capped Liaocheng West Station is the largest high-speed rail station on the whole line, with a station scale of 6 sets of 15 lines and a station area of about 50,000 square meters.

After 3 years and 8 months, Liaocheng people finally realized their dream of high-speed rail, and the eastern section of the Jizheng high-speed railway has been officially opened to traffic in December 2023. The Liaocheng section of the Jizheng high-speed railway is 115.3 kilometers long, passing through 5 counties and districts of Chiping District, Development Zone, Dongchangfu District, Yanggu County and Shen County, with three high-speed railway stations: Liaocheng West Station, Chiping South Station and Shenxian Station.
