Mourn the memory of Carl Schlecht, the founder of Putzmeister

It is with great sadness that we mourn the memory of Mr. Carl Schlecht, the founder, honorary professor, honorary doctorate and chartered engineer of Trinity, the founder, honorary professor and doctor of Putzmeister.

Mr. Schlechter is recognized as one of the great entrepreneurs in the global construction industry. When he was a young engineering student, he creatively designed a large mortar pump. In 1958, Mr. Schlechter founded the company that is now known worldwideConcrete machineryEnterprise: Putzmeister.

For the next nearly 50 years, Mr. Schlechter continued to lead the development of technology in the field of concrete pumping, which led to the growth of Putzmeister into a global market leader in concrete pumps with 22 subsidiaries, making a significant contribution to building a "world where housing and infrastructure are affordable and sustainable", and earning the respect of the world!

During his long career, Mr. Schlecht has received numerous awards and honors, including an Honorary Senator from the University of Hohenheim, Germany, an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Zeppelin, Germany, an Honorary Professor at Tongji University in China, the University of Karlsruhe Innovation Award, the Diesel Medal for Technological Innovation, and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Mr. Schlecht was an extraordinary figure, a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist, whose life and its achievements left a lasting impression on all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He pursues his vision with passion, dedication, and unwavering spirit, and always puts people first.

The success of Mr. Schlechter and Putzmeister also inspired Sany, which was 9,000 kilometers away, to start a second venture and officially enter the field of construction machinery 30 years ago. The high-quality products he led Putzmeister to create are an example for Sany people to learn and catch up with for a long time.

At the end of 2011, Mr. Schlecht was looking for partners for the company worldwide. At that time, Sany, which had grown into a leading concrete machinery enterprise in China, entered his field of vision. In January 2012, Schlechter met for the first time with Mr. Liang Wengen and other senior executives from both sides, and after only a few hours of talking, they reached a tacit understanding and consensus to jointly contribute to a better benchmark enterprise for the whole industry and the world.

In this "lightning merger and acquisition", it only took more than half a month for the two sides to negotiate cooperation. On January 31, 2012, Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and CITIC Industry Fund officially announced that they would jointly invest 360 million euros to acquire the entire equity of Putzmeister. This was the largest acquisition completed by a Chinese company in Germany at that time, and it was hailed as a "model of Sino-German cooperation".

In the following 12 years, with the help of Mr. Schlecht, Sany and Putzmeister respected each other and worked closely together, further consolidating their leading position in the global market and writing a story of "dancing with dragons and elephants". Trinity has always been grateful to Mr. Schlechter. Today, nearly half of the world's concrete is pumped by Sany and Putzmeister equipment, and Putzmeister's business has been successfully extended to other products in the field of construction machinery, and its revenue has nearly doubled.

The Si people have passed away, but the spirit lives on. An enterprise is an extension of an entrepreneur's life. Although Mr. Schlecht has passed away from us, his thoughts and vision will continue forever in Putzmeister, and will be passed on forever in Trinity, and Sany and Putzmeister will continue to work hard and contribute more to a better world!
