Sany Renewable Energy's onshore 15MW wind turbine was successfully hoisted

recentlyThe onshore 15 MW wind turbine SI-270150 independently developed by Sany Renewable Energy was successfully hoisted in Tongyu, Jilin ProvinceIn one fell swoop, it set two global records for the largest single unit capacity and the largest impeller diameter of the hoisted onshore unit. From the first release of the onshore 15 MW model at the 2023 Wind Energy Exhibition to the successful hoisting in less than a year, Sany Renewable Energy has been steadily running out of China's wind power "acceleration".




The 15 MW onshore wind turbine is Sany Renewable Energy's 12. X~16.X MW sea and land platform to create a blockbuster product, the design life is extended to 25~30 years, the impeller diameter is 270 meters, the blade length is 131 meters, the maximum sweeping area is 57,256 square meters, equivalent to the size of 8 football fields, the larger sweeping area brings stronger onshore wind capture capacity, and the annual power generation of a single unit can meet the annual electricity consumption of 160,000 families.


Behind the birth of this unprecedented onshore "giant", Sany Renewable Energy has joined hands with the entire upstream and downstream industry chain to break through the technical boundaries and rely on pre-verification to ensure the reliability of the unit from the source.


Under the premise of strictly meeting various international standards and the reliability requirements of the whole life cycle, Sany Renewable Energy SI-270150 wind turbine applies lightweight design and intelligent control load reduction technology to reduce the overall load of the unit and the difficulty of long-distance transportation on land. The transmission chain adopts a double TRB integral spindle support system, which ensures the high bearing capacity and high stability of the spindle system; Relying on the fully proven double-box transformer top-mounted technology, it reduces the amount of cables and land acquisition costs, and creates wind power products with high economy.


As the first enterprise to release the onshore 15 MW wind turbine, in order to ensure the safety and reliability of the whole life cycle of the wind turbine, Sany Renewable Energy relies on pre-multi-level tests to demonstrate the technical feasibility and product reliability, and uses the test data to feed back the optimization and iteration of the design, revise the digital simulation model, and shape the "reliable" gene from the source. In the future, the prototype of the 15 MW wind turbine will start the on-hook operation test at the test wind farm for more than one year to fully verify the reliability of the components and the whole turbine under actual working conditions.
