The first compilation meeting of the national standard of the "General Regulations for the Construction of Rotary Drilling Rigs" was held in Kunshan

On the morning of August 29, 2025, the first compilation meeting of the national standard "General Regulations for the Construction of Rotary Drilling Rigs for Building Construction Machinery and Equipment" was officially held in the conference hall of Jinling Hotel in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. The meeting was organized by the Basic Construction Equipment Sub-Technical Committee of the National Construction Machinery and Equipment Standardization Technical Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Standards Committee"), and was edited by Beijing Sany Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sany Pile Machine").

The conference brought together representatives of many important units and experts in this field. More than 20 experts and representatives from industry associations, construction enterprises, testing institutions, universities and institutes attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Liu Shuang, secretary general of the Standards Committee, and the moderator introduced the leaders and experts attending the meeting, and extended a warm welcome to the delegates.

Mr. Liu Yi, General Manager of Sany Pile Machine, delivered a speech, emphasizing the importance of the revision of this standard to the standardization and high-quality development of the industry, and said that as the editor-in-chief, it will fully support the preparation of the standard to ensure that the formulated tasks are completed on time and with high quality.

China Construction Machinery SocietyPile MechanicsGuo Chuanxin, secretary general of the branch, delivered a speech, pointing out that with the rapid development and widespread application of rotary drilling rig technology, the current standards are difficult to meet the needs of current engineering practice and technological development, and the revision of the new standards will greatly promote the improvement of construction quality and the technological progress of the industry, with significant social and economic benefits.

Guo Chuanxin, leader of the standard preparation working group, presided over the technical discussion. The participating experts conducted in-depth discussions on the draft of the "General Regulations for the Construction of Rotary Drilling Rigs", focusing on the analysis of the process changes brought about by the large-scale and intelligent development of equipment, the new requirements of environmental protection and safety, and the application practice of a variety of construction method combinations. The meeting further clarified the standard preparation plan and schedule, and plans to complete the standard formulation work in November 2026. After full discussion, the delegates put forward a number of constructive amendments.

The smooth convening of this meeting has laid a solid foundation for the preparation of the national standard "General Regulations for the Construction of Rotary Drilling Rigs for Building Construction Machinery and Equipment", marking the full launch of the standard.
