On October 21, Sany Group's Japanese research activities came to a successful conclusion. At the summary meeting, Tang Xiuguo, chairman and president of Sany Group, pointed out that the summary of this Japanese study is not the end, but only a starting point. We should start from the basic functions of intelligent manufacturing, combine the spirit of "giving human wisdom to machines" contained in the word "work", as well as the concept of "full participation" in "Lean Thought" and the "standardized method" of "Scientific Management Principles", dig deep into what we have seen and heard this time, and systematically apply it to the business scenario of "finding long boards, making up for shortcomings, researching trends, and promoting improvement", and continue to promote and innovate.

The 7-day research activity was led by Lu Guangyang, director of Sany Group's intelligent manufacturing headquarters, and included a team of 20 experts from the Strategic Growth Office, Intelligent Manufacturing Headquarters, Quality Upgrade Office and 8 major business units.

Research focus: from tool application to system reconstruction
The research team analyzed the lean management system of the whole chain of "ideology-method-material" of Japanese enterprises through production line observation, practical experience, and special seminars. Among them, Kawasaki's "NAS Level 8 cleanliness standard", Fanuc's "95% automation + digital twin", and Mitsubishi Fuso's "table distribution + error-proof kanban" demonstrate the advantages of Japanese companies in efficiency and quality from different dimensions. The team simultaneously identified key improvement directions such as hardware tooling and talent training.

The three core harvests empower intelligent manufacturing upgrades
Lean management: Japanese companies achieve continuous improvement through the closed-loop linkage of cultural penetration, experience platformization and hardware upgrades. For example, the annual benefit of "small innovations" such as Kawasaki VCI anti-rust film exceeds 200 million yen, providing reference for Sany to crack the "heavy tool light system".
Talent training: The "small class system + off-the-job squad leader" model of Japanese companies has improved employee participation by 80%. The team proposed measures such as "training dojo construction" and "school-enterprise joint training" to accelerate the leap in talent ability.
Quality delivery: Japanese companies control the missed installation rate at 0.001% and reflect "quality is delivery" through a 40-year spare parts service network. Sany will focus on introducing error-proof technology and expanding aftermarket services.

This research has been supported by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Fanuc and Mitsubishi Fuso in an all-round way. During the meeting, the research team met with executive director Hideo Marui, President Kenji Yamaguchi, and general manager Onda, and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for their long-term cooperation and support.
