On the afternoon of November 5, Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and governor, led a delegation from Hunan Province to the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) to visit the 8th China International Import Expo. He stressed that it is necessary to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on opening up, share the opportunities of the CIIE platform, and promote high-level opening and cooperation.

155 countries, regions and international organizations participated, and more than 4,100 overseas enterprises participated in the exhibition...... The scale of the 8th CIIE reached a new high. As a "full-time student" of the Expo, our province has nearly 1,300 registered units and more than 3,400 registered personnel this year, and the scale of participation and professionalism have increased simultaneously.

In the China Pavilion, there are many foreign exhibitors such as Sany No. 18 Lighthouse Factory, CRRC Zhuji, and Shibadong Village.

Mao Weiming said that it is necessary to focus on the needs of the country, give full play to Hunan's capabilities, bravely stand at the forefront of innovation, and let more "Made in Hunan" represent China to shine on the international stage.

The Hunan Permanent Pavilion of the CIIE focuses on the theme of "Open Hunan, Hunan Meets the World", with landscape as the curtain, humanities as the pulse, and intelligent manufacturing as the bridge, organizing more than 60 Hunan enterprises to make a full appearance, and the exhibition area has doubled compared with the previous session.

Mao Weiming visited the exhibition with great interest, encouraging everyone to carefully build the "Hunan City Meeting Room", better play the role of exhibition and negotiation, display the image of "Hunan" products in an all-round way, tell the story of Hunan in a three-dimensional way, and accurately connect with global resources.

Mao Weiming also came to the German Kärcher booth in the technical equipment exhibition area to introduce the development of the equipment manufacturing industry in our province, hoping that enterprises will take Hunan as the "next stop" of strategic layout, increase investment in capital projects, strengthen industrial complementarity and scientific and technological collaborative innovation, and share development results.

Over the past eight years, under the deployment and promotion of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the CIIE has become better and better, becoming a big window for building a new development pattern, a good platform for promoting high-level opening-up, and a new opportunity for global sharing and mutual benefit.

Carefully organize exhibition procurement, investment promotion and other activities, establish a long-term docking mechanism, track and implement cooperation intentions, strive to turn exhibitors into investors, and promote the transformation of exhibition results into tangible cooperation projects.

Focus on the construction of the "4×4" modern industrial system, adhere to the combination of "going out" and "bringing in", accelerate the introduction and gathering of a number of multinational enterprises, cutting-edge technologies and innovative ideas and other global high-end resource elements, and better enhance the international competitiveness of the industrial chain and supply chain.

Relying on platforms such as the Pilot Free Trade Zone and the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, we will better align with international high-standard economic and trade rules, comprehensively improve the level of institutional opening-up, and continuously enhance the vitality of opening-up.

During their stay in Shanghai, Mao Weiming and his delegation visited Huawei's Lianqiuhu R&D Center, emphasizing the need to deepen pragmatic cooperation between Hunan and Huawei in the fields of "artificial intelligence +", data elements, cultural technology, etc., and work together to expand and strengthen the green intelligent computing industry.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Mao Weiming also organized discussions with Chinese and foreign enterprises such as Hexagon, European Policy Center, Webast, Danone, Guoneng Group, and Linde.
