A new round of regional cluster effect of the power battery industry chain promoted by the government and formed around the head enterprises is accelerating, and Yibin, Sichuan is undoubtedly one of the most responsive.

Located in the hinterland of southwest China, Sichuan has attracted the world's leading power battery and energy storage system R&D manufacturers such as CATL based on rich mineral resources and a complete lithium material production industry chain, and quickly built the development of the whole power battery industry chain. In less than two years, from scratch, a prototype of a future lithium capital was faintly outlined.

At the intersection of Yilu Expressway and Rongkun high-speed railway, Yibin Sanjiang New Area Eastern Industrial Park, hundreds of cranes are operating at the same time on the construction site stretching for several kilometers, which is the project site of Sichuan Times Power Battery Production Base. The total investment is about 40 billion yuan, covering an area of about 3,500 acres, and the annual output value is expected to reach 100 billion yuan after it is put into operation. After the completion of the project, it will become the only lithium battery production base in the southwest area and the largest in the world.

On June 17 this year, the first phase of the Yibin CATL power battery project has been officially put into operation, the main body of the second phase of the plant has been basically completed, and the prototype of the main body of the third phase of the project has been presented. The construction of the fifth phase of the project, which started construction in June at the same time, is in full swing, and the project progress is accelerating. substantialtruck crane, crawler cranes, excavators, tower cranes, pile cranes, rotary drills and other large equipment are stationed at the construction site.

The construction of the main plant is the top priority of the project, and the foundation excavation and foundation treatment in the early stage are particularly important. Affected by the construction progress, the site is facing difficulties such as multi-type cross-section, multi-process overlap, and multi-professional joint construction. The originally simple groove and steel cage hoisting have therefore become the focus of safety and quality control.

Mr. Zhong, the person in charge of the engineering project, said: "In the early stage, a large number of steel cage transfer and lifting operations are large and high-risk, and we cannot afford to delay, so the requirements for equipment are very strict. After many discussions, we chose Sany, including SCC600A-6 and STC250C5, and more than 20 units came. ”

With the entry of CATL, the supporting enterprises of the power battery industry chain have followed up and settled in Yibin. In just a few years, Yibin has formed a complete industrial chain of lithium battery raw materials, battery materials, lithium batteries, application products and lithium battery recycling. At present, Yibin is docking with the follow-up production capacity and core supporting industry projects of Sichuan Times, and will achieve an output value of more than 100 billion yuan in the lithium battery industry in the later stage, helping Yibin build a world-class lithium battery industry cluster.
