At 13:46 on March 11, 2011, a powerful earthquake in Japan triggered a huge tsunami, and the resulting nuclear crisis attracted the world's attention. Sany donated a 62-meter pump truck worth US$1 million to participate in the water injection and cooling operation of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant, and provided service support, which won wide recognition from the Japanese government and all walks of life. The 62-meter pump truck is affectionately known as the "big giraffe" by the Japanese media and the public.
