In 2007, the Senegalese government built 2 intra-city highways and 1 direct expressway to the interior of the city in order to improve traffic congestion in and out of Dakar in *8983. The contractor, CSE, used 1 tractor pump and 5 motor graders for the construction. In the VDN project, because there is no river sand in the local area, the concrete can only be modulated with sea sand, which is quite difficult to pump.
