On July 21, Sany SES12 electric shovel and the first self-developed SET230 AC electric drive system rolled off the assembly line in Kunshan Industrial Park, SES12 electric shovel is the first high-prototype mining electric shovel in China, which can be used with 95 tons of mining dump trucks, and is suitable for various large-scale open-pit mines with an annual output of more than 5 million tons. The successful launch of this product has filled the gap in the field of domestic high-prototype electric shovels. Xiang Wenbo, President of Sany Heavy Industry, and Mao Jianhua, Chairman of Sany Mining Machinery, attended the off-line ceremony.
At the same time as the electric shovel off the assembly line, there is also the SET230 alternating current drive system, which adopts the integrated control research and development means based on the digital prototype as the control object, and has overcome more than 100 core technologies such as motor vector control, high-power inverter harmonic suppression technology, high-performance special integrated controller design and system control software development, and applied for 23 domestic patents and 4 international patents.
Relevant users said that the product has all independent intellectual property rights, and its successful offline has broken the long-term monopoly of high-power electric drive technology by foreign companies, accelerated the localization process of domestic electric wheel products, and made an important contribution to the revitalization of the national equipment manufacturing industry.

The success of the electric drive system makes Sany one of the few companies in the world with electric drive technology, which is of great significance. Mao Jianhua said that the successful launch of the first electric shovel has enabled Sany to form the ability to provide overall solutions for key mining equipment such as electric shovels and mining trucks.
