In the first half of the year, the production of major energy products of industries above designated size maintained year-on-year growth, and the imports of raw coal, crude oil, and natural gas grew rapidly.

1. Raw coal, crude oil and natural gas production and related conditions

Raw coal production grew steadily, and imports grew at a high level. In the first half of the year, the production of raw coal was 2.30 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%. Imported coal was 220 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 93.0%. In June, 390 million tons of raw coal were produced, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%.

Crude oil production remained stable, imports grew rapidly, and crude oil processing grew rapidly. In the first half of the year, the production of crude oil was 105.05 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%. Imported crude oil was 282.08 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.7%. 363.58 million tons of crude oil were processed, a year-on-year increase of 9.9%. In June, 17.52 million tons of crude oil were produced, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%. 60.95 million tons of crude oil were processed, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%.

Natural gas production grew steadily, and imports grew rapidly. In the first half of the year, 115.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%. imported natural gas was 56.63 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%. In June, 18.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced, up 5.5% year-on-year.

2. Electricity production

Electricity production continues to grow. In the first half of the year, power generation was 4,168 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 3.8%. In terms of varieties, thermal power increased by 7.5% year-on-year, hydropower decreased by 22.9%, nuclear power increased by 6.5%, wind power increased by 16.0%, and solar power increased by 7.4%. In June, electricity generation was 739.9 billion kilowatt hours, up 2.8% year-on-year.
