"Elephant" Putzmeister headquarters
(Xinhua) -- Echtal, a small city in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It's the height of summer, the greenery is thick, the vast fields separating the town from the busy highway, the gentle river running through it, and the castle looming on the hilltop in the distance.
Amid the idyllic landscape, the occasional heavy truck pulls out of a factory in the northern part of the town, carrying a long body carrying a concrete pump commonly found on construction sites. Outside the factory gate, the German flag and the Chinese five-star red flag flutter in the wind, and the golden German letters Putzmeister (Putzmeister) are inlaid on the outer wall of the factory, which is neat and clear, eye-catching.
This is where Putzmeister is headquartered, which was acquired by Chinese machinery manufacturer Sany Heavy Industry in 2012 and has since become a model for Sino-German manufacturing cooperation. As a technology leader in the global concrete plant industry, Putzmeister has a history of nearly 60 years and uses "Elephant" as its corporate logo. In the past five years, the German "elephant" and "Made in China" have danced hand in hand, and have gained stability and win-win results through complementary advantages and resource sharing.
Walking into the factory area of Putzmeister headquarters, I saw white standardized workshops distributed everywhere, and parts and semi-finished products were neatly stacked on the open space of the factory. Heavy trucks carrying iron guys are either quietly parked in the corners of the factory area, or under the control of workers, they are propping up concrete pipes tens of meters high, like Transformers are "stretching their muscles".
According to reports, the Putzmeister headquarters factory is mainly engaged in painting and final assembly, and produces concrete pumps according to the individual needs of global customers, adhering to the quality of "Made in Germany".

Liang Wengen exchanged gifts with Karl Schlecht, the founder of "Elephant".
"Since Sany Heavy Industry acquired Putzmeister, it has gained a deep understanding of the quality awareness, forward-looking awareness, and the planning and systematization of work of German manufacturing enterprises, and has learned a lot of valuable experience from it." Jiang Xiangyang, deputy general manager of Sany Heavy Industry and liaison officer of Sany in Putzmeister, said.
He told reporters that the work of the liaison officer is mainly responsible for two-way communication between the Sany board of directors and the management team of Putzmeister, on the one hand, to convey the requirements of the board of directors, and on the other hand, to report on the demands of the management team. "Although controlled by Sany Heavy Industry, the Putzmeister brand and operations have remained independent," he said. ”
In a huge factory, more than a dozen German workers in bib pants are polishing parts before painting, meticulously doing them by hand. When they meet Chinese visitors, they naturally greet reporters, and some even say "hello" in Chinese.
Some workers told reporters that Putzmeister's production has been on track and there has been little change. In the past five years, Sany's acquisition has not affected their jobs, just as they still start at 6 a.m. and finish at 3 p.m. every day.
However, in the view of Putzmeister's management team, "Made in China" has injected fresh blood into the German "Elephant", enhanced the market enterprising spirit of the "Elephant" and the motivation to strive for development and improve performance.

Schultz, an executive at Putzmeister's subsidiary, told reporters that Sany's investment brings reliability, continuity and sustainability, and will create greater success for Putzmeister in the global market.
"We are confident that Sany invests in the pursuit of long-term partnerships, as well as sustainable growth and profitability." Schultz said that Putzmeister, as an industry leader, can better invest its products in the Chinese market with the help of Sany's platform, especially in the context of China's industrial transformation and upgrading, and increasing attention to environmental protection.
At the same time, Putzmeister's global experience and capabilities also support the international development of Sany Heavy Industry. "With a platform based in Europe like Putzmeister, we hope to combine Europe's cutting-edge technology with Sany's development vision." Jiang Xiangyang said.
In particular, he pointed out that as a veteran German industrial enterprise, Putzmeister is good at in-depth analysis and full preparation for future projects, which can be described as "slow work and meticulous work". He said, "We are trying to combine this with the rapid execution of Sany Heavy Industry in order to achieve rapid and steady development." ”
In recent years, the rapid growth of Chinese enterprises' investment and mergers and acquisitions in Germany has become a fast lane for Sino-German manufacturing cooperation, which is not conducive to the global diversified development of Chinese enterprises, but also provides much-needed financial support and market channels for German enterprises, achieving complementary advantages and mutual benefit and win-win results.
Today, Putzmeister Machinery, which leaves Echtal, has closely combined "Made in Germany" with "Made in China", and will open up greater development opportunities in the global market in the future. It is foreseeable that the German "elephant" and "Made in China" will show more excitement when they dance together.
