On September 14, our country's first batch of single-unit on-continent wind power projects using 10 megawatt generator sets, the Inner Mongolia Energy Urat Zhongqi 1.5 million kilowatt wind storage base project, was officially put into commercial operation.
The project is located in Ganqimaodu Town, Urat Zhongqi, Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia, and uses a total of 150 10 MW wind turbines, becoming the largest onshore wind power "giant phalanx" in China.

Wang Jie, Sany Renewable Energy Service Engineer: We have 2 more "ears" on both sides of the main engine, which is our innovative use of box-change side technology to optimize the load of the unit, and we use double bearings with better strength to make the transmission chain run more stable and reliable. The weight of the unit is reduced by more than 5%.

These oversized fans use all-carbon fiber blades with a larger blade root diameter of 3.6 meters, increasing the bearing capacity of the blade roots by more than 26%. When running, the blade tip is farther away from the tower, and the distance is increased by more than 12%, which greatly increases the safety of the blade. At the same time, the project unit adopts a 1.7-meter main bearing, which has obvious advantages in width and thickness, the bearing capacity is increased by more than 20%, and the overall safety performance of the unit is significantly improved.

Dong Yannan, responsible for the safety production department of Bayannur Center of Inner Mongolia Energy Group: After the project is put into operation at full capacity, it is expected to generate 5.44 billion kWh of electricity per year, reduce standard coal burning by about 1.64 million tons and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 4.98 million tons per year.
