Madagascar President Rajoelina and his entourage visited Trinity

At noon on September 8, Mao Weiming, Deputy Secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Hunan Province, met with President Rajoelina of the Republic of Madagascar and his entourage in Changsha to attend the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Madagascar's Minister of Foreign Affairs Lhasatta, Minister of Education Shahon Charimala, Minister of Industry and Trade Lalambo Firinga, and Madagascar Ambassador to China Robinsson accompanied the delegation.

At noon on September 8, the deputy secretary of the provincial party committee,Provincial Governor Mao Weiming met with Madagascar President Rajoelina in Changsha.

Madagascar is an island country in the Indian Ocean located in southeast Africa, with an area of 592,000 square kilometers and a population of about 28.92 million.

Mao Weiming welcomed the arrival of the guests and gave a brief introduction to Hunan Province. He said that since 2007, we have been connected by "one seed", and the hybrid rice developed by Academician Yuan Longping has taken root and blossomed in the land of Madagascar and produced full ears of rice, and Madagascar has become the first country in Africa to realize the commercialization of hybrid rice, and is the technology center of hybrid rice radiation in Africa, realizing the whole industrial chain coverage of breeding, seed production, planting, processing and sales. Mao Weiming said that as an important frontier of China-Africa people-to-people exchanges and cooperation, and one of the most active provinces in the country in economic and trade cooperation with Africa, Hunan will conscientiously implement the important consensus of the two heads of state and the results of the summit, make good use of open platforms such as the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo and the China-Africa Economic and Trade In-depth Cooperation Pilot Zone, further strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with Madagascar, deepen economic and trade exchanges, promote industrial cooperation, consolidate the strong momentum of agricultural cooperation, and expand exchanges and cooperation in infrastructure construction, new energy, mining development, cultural tourism and other fields. Contribute more Hunan strength to deepen the China-Malaysia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

At the meeting, Rajoelina expressed his gratitude to Hunan for its long-term technical assistance to Madagascar for hybrid rice, and expressed his appreciation for Hunan's achievements in modern agriculture, industrial manufacturing, and scientific and technological innovation. He said that at present, Madagascar is focusing on improving the level of agricultural modernization and industrialization, building a "granary of Africa", and hopes to further learn from Hunan's successful experience and practices in the development of modern agriculture, mineral exploitation and utilization, cultural and tourism integration, give full play to their complementary advantages, deepen cooperation in energy, infrastructure construction and other fields, and build Malaysia-China relations into a benchmark model of Africa-China relations.

During the meeting in Hunan Province, Rajoelina and his entourage visited Changsha. At Sany Group's No. 18 Lighthouse Factory, Rajoelina learned about intelligent manufacturing and new energy technology development. At the Hunan Provincial Institute of Geology and the Hunan Provincial Geological Experiment and Testing Center, Rajoelina inspected geological research and accepted donations from briquette production lines. Coming to the Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center, Rajoelina inspected the scientific and technological innovation of the rice seed industry.
