On December 20, the first Zhuzhou Smart Steel and Logistics Industry Ecological Conference was held, bringing together nearly 300 well-known enterprises in the upstream, middle and downstream of the steel industry chain, promoting and attracting a number of domestic and foreign leading enterprises, strategic investors and partners, and accelerating the creation of a new ecology for the integrated development of Zhuzhou smart steel and modern logistics industry chain. On the morning of the same day, a seminar on the industrial upgrading of the smart steel supply chain and a seminar on the high-quality development of Hunan and Guangdong non-inland ports were also held.

In recent years, Zhuzhou has fully integrated into the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", the bonded logistics center has risen to the 28th place in the country, more than 1,000 Hunan and Guangdong non-rail-sea intermodal trains have been opened, Zhuzhou's localized customs clearance service model has been successfully launched, and it has been approved as a national cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone, and Zhuzhou's products sell well in more than 180 countries and regions.

In September 2019, the Sany Smart Steel City project settled in Zhuzhou, with an investment of more than 10 billion yuan, focusing on building a leading intelligent manufacturing industry chain park in China, the largest steel supply comprehensive hub in central China, and a Hunan Industrial Internet Demonstration Park. After several years of construction and development, Sany Smart Steel City has completed the construction of the first phase and the second phase of the first bid section, has delivered 250,000 square meters of standard factory buildings, and introduced 68 high-quality enterprises in the steel industry chain. At present, the total annual steel flow of the enterprises in the park exceeds 5 million tons, with an output value of more than 30 billion yuan, covering the primary and deep processing of major steel categories such as hot plates, cold plates, galvanized sheets, profiles, pipes, round bars, and stainless steel. An intelligent steel supply chain ecological park with Zhuzhou Sany Smart Steel City as a round point and covering a radius of 500 kilometers of surrounding industrial demand has been preliminarily presented, and the industrial ecology has taken shape.

In August this year, Zhuzhou Modern Logistics Group was established, and is focusing on building a "six-in-one" multimodal transport network of "rail, water, sea and air + cold chain". At present, the group plans to build a "one channel and five bases" Xiangyue non-dry port project, and strive to build the project into an integrated international logistics core hub in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Zhuzhou, attracting import and export sources of Chinese mainland provinces to trade with Africa to gather in Zhuzhou, striving to create a national-level opening platform, a national barter trade center for Africa, and gradually build a "China-Africa economic and trade dry port". At present, Zhuzhou's logistics structure has been significantly optimized, with the proportion of road transportation falling from 92.9% to 89.4%, and the proportion of logistics costs in GDP falling from 14.37% to 13.9%, saving nearly 200 million yuan in logistics costs for enterprises.
