The pump truck is an indispensable heavy equipment for building construction, which can accurately transport and pour concrete to the designated place through the movement of the boom. In this company's intelligent production line, a pump truck can be rolled off the assembly line every 45 minutes.

A pump truck like this consists of nearly 6,600 parts and involves more than 600 suppliers. Despite the complexity of the process and the high degree of integration, the annual output of the factory can reach nearly 7,000 units during the peak production period, and such high production capacity and high efficiency are inseparable from the all-round support provided by industrial clusters.

Jiang Qingbin, Chairman of the Pump Division of Sany Heavy Industry: Changsha has a complete supply chain around it, from simple steel structure and painting to complex hydraulic parts, electronic control, etc., all of which are very complete. Just a few years ago, however, the company was at risk of a supply chain disruption. The boom is one of the most important structural parts of the pump truck, and the precise movement of the boom is inseparable from a key component - multi-way valve. In the past, the multi-way valves required for the production of enterprises basically relied on imports, with high cost, slow supply and difficult after-sales, which seriously restricted the development of many pump truck manufacturing enterprises.

Zhang Xipeng, Engineer of Pump Road Division of Sany Heavy Industry: When it was slow, because he had a long order cycle from abroad, we might have to make an appointment for this output half a year in advance. Every time I come back, dozens of units have to be restricted, and they can't actually match our market.

In order to help enterprises solve supply chain problems and promote the cluster development of construction machinery industry clusters, Changsha City has set up an industrial chain promotion office to implement actions to strengthen the chain, supplement the chain and extend the chain, and the local matching rate of parts and components has increased from 16.3% in 2019 to more than 30% at present.

At present, Changsha Construction Machinery Cluster is still consolidating the foundation and enhancing the resilience of the industrial chain. It is only 13 kilometers away from Changsha, a pump truck manufacturer. A hydraulic parts manufacturer from Shanghai just started production last year.

The settlement of this hydraulic parts manufacturer in Changsha not only brings convenience to many local construction machinery manufacturing enterprises, but also feels significant cost-effectiveness, and the savings in freight and storage costs alone account for 5% of the total sales of the enterprise.

On this day, Ma Fei, a technician from a pump truck manufacturer, drove less than 20 minutes to the workshop of this hydraulic parts manufacturer. Here, a batch of multi-way valves that have just come off the production line are being sent to the hydraulic valve pressure testing machine. This is a multi-way valve jointly developed by the host enterprise and the supporting enterprise for the new pump truck products. Through this close collaboration, both parties not only shorten the development cycle, but also improve the adaptability and reliability of the products.

After coming to Changsha, Hunan, it provided great convenience for our host, and the communication and efficiency of the two sides were very high.
