From September 19th to 22nd, the 2025 International Simulation Conference with the theme of "Intelligent Simulation and Data Governance" was held in Hangzhou. Hosted by the Asian Simulation Alliance (ASIASIM), one of the world's three major international simulation academic groups, the conference brought together more than 1,000 experts and scholars from more than 30 countries around the world, including Nobel Prize winners, Turing Medal winners, Fields Medal winners and academicians from all over the world. Participants included nearly 100 colleges and universities, more than 50 top scientific research institutes and more than 200 industry leaders to discuss the cutting-edge trends and application prospects of simulation technology.


As a leading enterprise in China's construction machinery industry, Sany Group was invited to participate in this top event in the field of international simulation, during the conference, Sany Group not only shared the innovative practice of AI-enabled simulation, but also deeply participated in a number of important activities, demonstrating the hard power of Sany digital simulation technology.



01 AI-enabled simulation solves the problem of "real and fast" in industry simulation


Qie Yongjun, deputy general manager of Sany Group and president of Digital Twin Research Institute, was invited to give a keynote report on "Exploration and Thinking of AI-enabled Simulation in Engineering Equipment Research and Development" at the conference. The report focuses on the innovative research and development needs of engineering equipment in the era of digital intelligence, faces the two major challenges of "true" and "fast" simulation in the construction machinery industry, and systematically expounds the typical application scenarios and values of AI-enabled simulation in the research and development of construction machinery. The report points out that the use of AI models (such as neural networks) to replace the direct solution of some complex equations, and the integration of Newtonian mechanics and fluid dynamics equations into neural network training as constraints to ensure that the AI prediction results conform to basic physical laws, and to replace physical calculations with data-driven and manual iteration with automation, can effectively break through the bottleneck of traditional numerical simulation efficiency and accuracy. At the same time, in view of the complex and changeable characteristics of construction machinery operating conditions (different climates, different geographical conditions, different loads, etc.), AI can improve the generalization ability of simulation models to enhance the adaptability of simulation models to unknown working conditions and environmental changes.


The deep integration of AI and simulation is essentially the integration and development of "data intelligence-driven" and "physical model-driven", which is the key to realizing simulation paradigm innovation. Engineering equipment simulation is really moving towards a new stage of deep technology integration and R&D paradigm reconstruction, simulation will usher in a fundamental change from auxiliary tools to intelligent symbiosis, which will promote the construction machinery industry to a new era of digital intelligence and intelligent decision-making throughout the life cycle, and provide a core driving force for global high-end equipment innovation.




02 Frontier of traction simulation technology Two key and difficult technologies were selected as the top ten in the world

After multiple rounds of review by global experts, Sany Group's "Structural Fatigue Life Analysis and Prediction Technology of Extra-large Tonnage Engineering Equipment Work Device" and "Real-time Simulation Technology for High-precision Performance of Large and Complex Equipment" submitted by Sany Group were successfully selected as the top ten frontier issues in the world of simulation science and technology, which is the only two selected technologies in the construction machinery industry. The selection of these two technologies marks that Sany's forward-looking research in the field of construction machinery simulation has been recognized by the international academic community.




03 Lead the intelligent simulation dialogue and share the Sany AI integration innovation path


In the high-end dialogue session, Qie Yongjun, Deputy General Manager of Sany Group, shared Sany's innovative practice in the field of intelligent simulation, and conducted in-depth exchanges with global simulation authoritative experts such as Professor Chen Jinjun, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, Professor Axel Lehmann, former President of the International Society of Modeling and Simulation, Professor Zhang Yan, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, and Santi Maensiri, founder of the Thai Simulation Society. Jointly discuss the development trend of intelligent simulation technology and its innovative application in industrial digital transformation.




04 Hold international academic positions and participate in global simulation technology governance

During the conference, the Asian Simulation Alliance officially established an international advisory committee. The committee is headed by Li Bohu and Zhao Qinping, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Lerman, former chairman of the International Society of Modeling and Simulation, and Wang Zili, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Dean, foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and academician of the Canadian Academy of Sciences. Qie Yongjun, deputy general manager of Sany Group, was hired as a member of the advisory committee, becoming the only representative of the domestic industry, demonstrating Sany Group's influence and voice in the field of global simulation technology.




05 Carry out electronic and intelligent technology exchanges to draw inspiration for cross-border innovation


During the meeting, the Sany Simulation Professional Subcommittee visited the Yushu Technology Exhibition Hall, Zhejiang Key Laboratory of Industrial Big Data and Robot Intelligent System, and Geely Global Verification Center, and conducted full discussions with the Hangzhou Innovation Research Institute of Beihang University and Geely Automobile Research Institute in the fields of embodied intelligence, scene simulation, energy consumption simulation of the whole machine, simulation of three electric thermal management, and digital twin, which provided an important reference for the planning and application of Sany Electric Intelligent Simulation Technology.


06 Focus on intelligent simulation to build new competitive advantages in the future
