Located in the northwest of Liaoning Province, Fuxin City was once home to Asia's largest open-pit coal mine and thermal power plant, and was an important energy base for the new China. Huaneng Jinsha Wind Farm is located in Jiumiao Town, Fuxin City, on a small hillside of this wind farm, a Sany Renewable Energy wind turbine known as the "King of Machines" is rotating steadily, and has always maintained safe and reliable operation since it was connected to the grid in 2020.
Intelligent manufacturing is a win-win situation for quality and efficiency
It is understood that a total of 24 Sany Renewable Energy wind turbines have been installed in Jinsha Wind Farm, with a total installed capacity of 48MW. In October 2020, the hoisting began, and in order to protect the interests of customers, it took less than two months to achieve full-capacity grid-connected power generation before the last time node to enjoy the subsidy.
At that time, many people regarded "ensuring delivery" as the first priority, but Sany Renewable Energy always insisted on putting the quality and safety of wind turbines in the first place to ensure the reliability of the unit. The excellent operation data of the wind farm is the satisfactory answer sheet handed over by Sany Renewable Energy. The annual available hours of wind farms are 4,062 hours, and the "machine king" has reached 5,258 hours, ranking first in the history of Huaneng New Energy Company in the northeast region.
The win-win situation of production progress and product quality is due to Sany Renewable Energy's intelligent manufacturing digital factory. In 2020, Sany Renewable Energy created an industry miracle of "producing 800 wind turbines in 100 days" on a single production line, fully completing product delivery and helping customers achieve "rush installation".

Sany Renewable Energy's digital intelligent production line not only improves production efficiency, but also greatly improves product reliability through more sophisticated digital production methods, escorting the safe operation of the whole life cycle of wind turbines. The excellent performance of "Machine King" is the best proof.
Due to geographical location and other issues, Jinsha Wind Farm is shrouded in a thick layer of yellow sand all year round. "There are sandstorms here all year round, and when you go out and stand for a while in light-colored clothes, it will turn earthy yellow." Ma Zhiwei, service manager of Sany Renewable Energy, introduced. In addition to the large amount of sand and dust, the wind farm will also be invaded by catkins every spring, which is a great test for the stable operation of the unit. The control system configured by Sany Renewable Energy unit has very good airtightness, which can effectively avoid the problems of poor contact of power generation parts due to the impact of sand and dust in the industry, greatly reduce the failure rate of the unit, ensure the stable operation of the unit, and make the 24 wind turbines of Sany Renewable Energy still shine in this harsh environment.
In addition, through advanced control technologies such as intelligent blade control, intelligent yaw control, intelligent load reduction control, lidar predictive control, and independent pitch technology, the power generation is guaranteed to the maximum extent while ensuring the stability of the unit. In 2022, the utilization rate of the wind farm will be as high as 99.69%, and the annual power generation capacity will be 203.2 million kWh, exceeding the power generation capacity agreed in the project contract by 30%.
Efficient power generation and worry-free operation
"Sany's O&M service manager is the most idle person in the wind farm." Huaneng owner teased. Sany Renewable Energy has high reliability and low failure rate, so that the operation and maintenance team rarely has the opportunity to deal with unit failures, but spends more time on monitoring and troubleshooting, fault pretreatment, etc.
Although "idle", the Sany team is very serious and responsible. In 2021, Fuxin ushered in heavy snow that had not been encountered in 30 years, and the road to the unit was full of snow, and the thickness was even waistless. Also on this day, a unit was shut down due to a fault, in order to solve the fault problem, Sany Renewable Energy's four service engineers, not afraid of the cold, after an hour and a half in the snow hiked 3 kilometers to the fault unit point, timely solve the fault problem, reduce the power generation loss for customers.
In addition, Sany Renewable Energy's O&M team also took the initiative to assume responsibilities outside of their own work to fully escort the wind farm. During a regular inspection, the service manager of Sany Renewable Energy found that there was an obvious discharge sound in a high-voltage line tower, and immediately fed back to the owner, dealt with the line fault in a timely manner, and avoided the power generation loss of at least 12 units being shut down for more than 10 hours.
In addition to human operation and maintenance, Sany Renewable Energy wind turbines are also equipped with advanced intelligent operation and maintenance systems, which can predict and investigate risk points in advance according to the daily big data analysis of wind turbines to ensure the stable operation of the unit.
The excellent performance of the wind farm has not only won high praise from customers, but also won the honorary title of 5A wind farm in the "2021 List of Winning Wind Farms in the Benchmarking of Wind Power Operation Statistical Indicators in the Power Industry" released by the China Electricity Council.
