Altay 200,000 kW/800,000 kWh energy storage supporting Jimuno wind power project has a total installed capacity of 200,000 kW, and will provide 658 million kW·h of clean energy to the grid every year after it is put into operation. The project is located in Jimunai County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at the northern foot of the Sawur Mountains and the northern edge of the Junggar Basin, which is a typical Gobi landform. During the hoisting period, the on-site wind speed often changed from 3-4m/s to about 20m/s, and there were thunderstorms and other bad weather, under such conditions, 32 Sany Renewable Energy wind turbines weighing more than 200 tons were installed without damage in only 44 days.
