On September 25, the "Seminar on High-quality Development of Wind Power in Mountain Areas" jointly sponsored by the Zunyi Municipal Government and Sany Renewable Energy was held in Zunyi, Guizhou. Li Xu, deputy mayor of Zunyi City, and Hong Yong, deputy general manager of Sany Renewable Energy Marketing Company, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. At the meeting, technical experts from Sany Renewable Energy and the guests gave a series of lectures on the topic of "wind power development in mountainous areas" from the perspectives of unit design, wind farm operation, overall solution for mountain wind power, and EPC construction of wind farms.

Li Xu, deputy mayor of Zunyi City, delivered a speech
As an important energy base in China and a national ecological civilization pilot zone, Guizhou Province has actively implemented the new concept of green and low-carbon development in recent years, vigorously developed new and renewable energy, and promoted the high-quality development of the province's energy industry. According to the newly released "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of New and Renewable Energy in Guizhou Province", by 2025, the province's installed wind power capacity will reach 10.8 million kilowatts, and the development of new energy has broad prospects.

Hong Yong, deputy general manager of Sany Renewable Energy Marketing Company, delivered a speech
As one of the top five wind turbine companies in China, Sany Renewable Energy has always been very optimistic about the development prospects of wind power in Guizhou and even the entire southwest region based on its successful experience in the construction of wind farms in mountainous areas for many years. By the end of 2022, Sany Renewable Energy will invest in the construction of an intelligent manufacturing industrial park in Zunyi, with a planned total investment of 200 million yuan, and the annual production capacity of wind power hosts will reach 500 units in the future. In the future, the industrial park will take Zunyi as a starting point, continue to take root in Guizhou, radiate Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, Chongqing and other southwest regions, give full play to the strength of Sany enterprise and the advantages of intelligent manufacturing, build a smart factory integrating digitalization, automation, integration and leanness, set a benchmark for high-end wind power equipment manufacturing in southwest China, and continue to make efforts in many fields such as industrial investment, wind resource development, wind farm EPC construction, etc., to help the high-quality development of wind power in the southwest mountainous region.
At the seminar on the high-quality development of wind power in mountainous areas, Chen Helong, general manager and senior engineer of the power grid department of Guizhou Chuangxing Electric Power Research Institute, Chen Huabo, director of the procurement department of PowerChina Guizhou Engineering Co., Ltd., Wang Tieqiang, vice president of Hunan Sany Smart New Energy Design Co., Ltd., Tang Shengwu, product manager of Sany Renewable Energy, and Wu Baoxin, deputy director of Sany Renewable Energy Solution Center, launched a series of lectures on the special requirements for the construction and operation and maintenance of wind power projects in the southwest mountainous region.

At the meeting, Wu Baoxin, deputy director of Sany Renewable Energy Solution Center, said that the climate, topography and wind resource conditions of the southwest mountainous region represented by Guizhou have brought a series of challenges to the construction of wind power projects. The terrain conditions dominated by mountains and hills make transportation and construction difficult and costly; The remaining available areas have low wind speed, small shear and large turbulence, which further increases the difficulty of project implementation. The climate environment of high humidity, thunderstorms and freezing rain puts forward higher requirements for the environmental adaptability and stability and reliability of the unit. Based on years of experience in the development of mountain wind power projects, he emphasized that the development of low-speed mountain wind farms should focus on the accuracy and refinement of wind measurement, the high matching of turbine design and site selection, the long-term sustainable development ability of suppliers, and the stability of large components of the unit. At the same time, he put forward a constructive solution for the transportation of mountain wind farms: by controlling the weight of each component of the wind turbine, the width of the nacelle, and the design of split hoisting, the difficulty of mountain transportation and hoisting of wind turbines is reduced; With the help of customized transportation vehicles such as crawler blade transfer vehicles and ultra-low plate tower transport vehicles, with customized transportation solutions such as high-speed yard and transfer, road misalignment platform design, etc., the transportation problems in mountainous areas are systematically solved.

Subsequently, Tang Shengwu, product manager of Sany Renewable Energy, shared a comprehensive technical plan for the high-quality development of wind power in mountainous areas from the aspects of unit design, wind farm construction and operation.
1. Unit design
Relying on the platform and modular design of wind turbine products, a variety of units suitable for different wind zones have been developed to meet the needs of wind farm construction in different environments. Through the integrated and coordinated design of the whole machine and the blades, the optimal matching of the whole machine and the blades is realized, and the power generation efficiency of the unit under low wind speed is improved. Through the high-stiffness and lightweight structural design of the blades, the high-reliability design and advanced technology of the motor, and the strict quality control process and verification process, the safety and high reliability of the unit in mountainous areas are ensured.
2. Mountain wind farm strategy
According to the characteristics of large changes in air density and low wind speed in the mountainous areas of southwest China, the mountain wind field control strategy was adopted to improve the efficiency of wind capture. In view of the local climate and environment with many freezing rains, the problem of low-temperature icing of wind turbines is solved by selecting anti-icing strategies such as blade de-icing system. In view of the humid and thunderstormy environment of the mountain wind farm, with the help of high-standard lightning protection design and heating and dehumidification device in the electrical system, the impact of condensation and lightning on the unit is minimized.

Steadily promoting the coordinated development of wind power is a key task in the "14th Five-Year Plan" of Guizhou Province, which puts forward higher requirements for the EPC construction of wind farms. Wang Tieqiang, vice president of Hunan Sany Smart New Energy Design Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech entitled "Guarding Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains with Ecological Design and High-quality Construction", introducing Sany's refined ecological design scheme in the construction of wind power EPC projects and the high-quality construction experience of green wind farms, which effectively reflects the organic unity of wind power construction and guarding lucid waters and lush mountains; This paper introduces in detail the integrated scheme design, systematic management methods, high-quality construction scheme, and EPC engineering practice of "how fast and good the province" of Sany New Energy, and shows Sany's core advantages and successful experience in wind farm EPC with detailed data and cases, and points out the direction for the construction of green ecological wind farms in the southwest mountainous region.
