Sany Renewable Energy joined the China ESG Alliance

In July 2024, SANY Renewable Energy officially joined the China ESG Alliance, demonstrating the company's strong commitment to sustainable development. As a member of the alliance, Sany Renewable Energy will adhere to the strategic policy of sustainable development, lead the green development of the wind power industry, and share best practices in the field of ESG and low-carbon technology innovation with other members to promote the green transformation of the supply chain.

China ESG Alliance was established on April 13, 2023, and was jointly initiated by industry leaders and institutions in Suzhou. The alliance aims to bring together ESG expert perspectives and ecological resources to build responsible climate technology solutions for the benefit of the world. Members include Microsoft, Lenovo, Honor, Tencent, Luxshare Precision, LONGi Green Energy, LinkedIn, Sunwoda, Danfoss, SF Group, CDP and Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange.

Adhering to the concept of "Intelligent Manufacturing Leads the Future" and the vision of "Promoting the Efficient Use of Clean Energy by Human Beings", Sany Renewable Energy is committed to becoming a global leader in clean energy equipment and services, and contributing to China's realization of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" and the world's clean energy transformation. As of December 31, 2023, the company has provided a cumulative power generation capacity of 84.2 billion kWh of wind turbines for the world, which is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 48.0193 million tons.

In the Shenxianling Wind Farm Project, Sany Renewable Energy combines wind farm construction, ecological environmental protection, and community interaction, with a disturbance land consolidation rate of 98.56%, a total soil erosion control rate of 98.57%, and a forest and grass vegetation restoration rate of 99.61%, making it the country's first ecological smart wind farm, effectively promoting the development of local tourism and characteristic industries, and achieving both ecological and economic benefits, and synergy between development and nature.

As a new energy "chain master" enterprise, Sany Renewable Energy continues to integrate ESG control measures into the procurement process in order to radiate its sustainable development capabilities to the entire supply chain. At present, 92% of suppliers have signed the Supplier Code of Conduct, and the company has also carried out hierarchical management and empowerment of suppliers through sustainable development self-assessment questionnaires and ESG capability training.
