On July 4, the "7th (2025) Wind Resources Technology Forum", hosted by the Wind Energy Professional Committee of the China Renewable Energy Society and jointly organized by Northeast Electric Power University and Sany Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., was grandly opened in Jilin City.

With the theme of "Taking Advantage of the Momentum, Breaking Boundaries, and Intelligent Innovation", the forum focused on the challenges and technological development directions in the field of upwind resources under the new situation, attracting industry experts, scholars and business representatives from all over the country to gather together to discuss new paths for technological transformation of upwind resources under the new situation.

At the opening ceremony of the forum, Yao Xiandong, deputy general manager of Sany Renewable Energy Marketing Company, delivered an opening speech. Yao Xiandong pointed out in his speech that with the deepening of the national energy transformation strategy, China's wind power industry is ushering in a period of rapid development. The iteration of large-megawatt technology has accelerated, and the development of deep-sea wind power has been steadily expanding, showing strong development momentum. 02.Sany experts share insights on the evaluation of high-turbulence projects
In the keynote report session of "Research Results of Wind Resource Assessment Methods", which has attracted much attention, Gai Feng, director of Sany Renewable Energy Solution Center, presided over it.
During the period, Li Zheng, a senior technical expert of Sany Renewable Energy, brought a special report entitled "Safety Assessment Methods and Suggestions for High Turbulence Projects".
Li Zheng systematically elaborated on the constraints faced by turbulence assessment under the new situation and the challenges brought by high turbulence projects to the safe operation of wind turbines. In particular, he shared the characteristics of two typical high-turbulence projects affected by high-slope and parallel main wind direction small-spacing machine wakes, and put forward suggestions for the adaptive design points of wind turbines and the optimization of operation control strategies for high-turbulence sites based on practical project application experience. The report emphasizes that scientific and rigorous safety assessment is the cornerstone of successful project development, and Sany Renewable Energy has formed a set of effective full-chain solutions, which can significantly reduce the potential risks of high-turbulence projects and ensure the long-term safe and stable operation of assets.
As one of the key technologies throughout the whole life cycle of wind power projects, wind resource technology involves multiple disciplines, multiple links and multiple subjects.
