Fracturing is an important stimulation measure for the transformation of low permeability oil and gas reservoirs. By artificially creating reservoir fractures, the flow environment of oil in the underground can be improved, so that the production of oil wells can be increased, which is equivalent to building a "highway" for oil and gas flow underground. However, due to the limitations of the size of the offshore platform, the load capacity, and the transportation conditions, it is difficult to develop fracturing in offshore oil and gas reservoirs. Although offshore fracturing operations were carried out in China in 2006, due to the small scale and limited transformation of low-permeability fracturing for a long time, the production effect is unstable, and a large number of low-permeability reserves are still underground.

The fracturing operation is from the surface high-power sand control pump unit, sand mixing truck, data mining room and high-pressure pipeline, to the downhole sand control tools, packers and other key equipment and tools, all of which adopt domestic equipment, get rid of the long-term dependence on foreign equipment and downhole tools, and improve the timeliness of offshore fracturing operations.

China has abundant proven reserves of low-permeability crude oil offshore and is an important source of potential reserves for domestic oil and gas reserves and production. This kind of reservoir has large burial depth, low permeability, difficult oil and gas flow, low natural productivity of a single well, short development and cumulative production time, difficult development, and difficult to achieve economic utilization.

In order to achieve the goal of offshore low permeability fracturing in China's "Seven-Year Action Plan" for increasing oil and gas reserves and production, since 2019, China has gradually possessed mature vertical wells, directional wells, single or multi-layer fracturing and large-scale horizontal well segmented fracturing capabilities, from reservoir analysis, process design to on-site construction, and has formed a series of fracturing transformation technologies for offshore low permeability reservoirs, such as packer sliding sleeve fracturing technology and deflagration fracturing technology, as well as supporting technologies such as continuous mixing and flowback fluid treatment It has created conditions for the economic and effective development of offshore low-permeability oil fields.
