At noon on March 9, local time in the United States, AEM held a press conference at the 2017 Las Vegas Construction Machinery Exhibition and released a research report entitled "Market Size and Economic Development Contribution of North American Construction Machinery and Equipment Industry".

The report analyzes the overall development and trends of the construction machinery and equipment industry in North America, and focuses on the contribution of the construction machinery industry to the economic development of the United States and Canada.
According to the report, in 2016, the U.S. construction machinery industry contributed a total of $158.8 billion in economic value, accounting for 0.9% of the overall GDP of the United States, and 5.1% of the overall manufacturing economy in the United States. The industry as a whole contributes an average of US$370,000 per job in economic output, equivalent to about 2.6 million RMB.

In 2016, the U.S. construction machinery industry and surrounding ancillary industries contributed a total of 1.3 million jobs, including design, manufacturing, sales and supply chain jobs, accounting for 1% of the total U.S. jobs and 7% of the U.S. manufacturing enterprise jobs.
Of the 130 jobs, 420,000 are from equipment manufacturing companies, including 160,000 in construction equipment companies, 110,000 in agricultural equipment companies, and 150,000 in mining equipment companies.

In 2016, the income of the entire construction machinery industry in the United States accounted for 1.3% of the overall national income of the United States. The average income of employees in each industry (including equipment manufacturers, equipment users and supply chain personnel) is 78,000 US dollars (equivalent to 546,000 yuan), which is about 58% higher than the average average salary per capita in the United States.
