Domestic sales of bulldozers increased by 85.04% in February

In February 2017, the country's 10 major bulldozer manufacturers sold a total of 470 bulldozers of various types, an increase of 85.04% compared with 254 units in February 2016. Among them, driven by the domestic infrastructure construction investment boom, the domestic sales of bulldozers showed a substantial increase, with domestic sales of 394 units in February, compared with 200 units in February 2016, an increase of 97.00%.

In terms of horsepower, as the main model of engineering construction, the demand for bulldozer products in the range of 160~220 horsepower has always been far ahead. According to statistics, in February, a total of 368 160-horsepower bulldozer products were sold, accounting for 78.30% of the total sales, becoming the main model for sales growth this month. It was followed by 220 horsepower and 320 horsepower, with sales of 40 and 31 units respectively, and these three horsepower products accounted for 93.40% of the total sales, and the sales of 165 horsepower and other models did not exceed 10 units.

In terms of the regional market, in February, Anhui took the lead with 58 units in sales, ranking 5656 in the regional sales volume of the month, becoming the province with the most monthly sales in the past 6 months. Hubei 39 units, Jiangsu 25 units, Shandong 23 units followed, Qinghai and Tibet became the regions with the least sales, with only 3 units sold. Among them, Anhui sold 57 160-horsepower bulldozers, almost all of which were 160-horsepower products.

From the perspective of product type, in February, the sales volume and proportion of wetland bulldozers increased significantly, with sales of 280 units, accounting for 59.57%. Among the 160 horsepower products with the most sales, there are 264 wetland types and 104 standard types, and the wetland bulldozer models are mainly concentrated in 160 horsepower.

In terms of exports, in February, China's bulldozers exported a total of 76 units, accounting for 16.17%, and sales volume increased by 40.74% year-on-year to 54 units in February 2016. Among them, 36 160-horsepower bulldozers were exported, accounting for 47.37%.
