As the first Chinese and Asians to enter the core area of the rescue site, Hao Heng, a Chilean service engineer of Sany Heavy Industry, has also won the respect of Chilean friends.

■ "Hanging" up the Chilean market

The Chilean government has a rescue plan in place on August 5 when 33 miners were trapped 700 meters underground after a collapse at the San José copper mine in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile.

Sany Heavy Industry entered the Chilean market a few years ago through cooperation with BURGER, but Sany products were not popular in the first half of the year. The concept of "Made in China" in foreign countries is still stuck in light industrial products such as clothes, shoes and hats, and there is a lack of confidence in China's heavy industrial products with high demand for scientific and technological content.

BURGER is a Chile*5655 lifting equipment company that procures the world's largest lifting equipment for lease to factories, mines and construction sites. No one rented the Sany products that I bought, and the boss of BURGER was in a hurry. He came up with the idea of finding a place near a highway in Chile, drove Sany's crane over, lifted a large flatbed truck, and hoisted it there for five days.

Drivers passing by the highway can see the Sany crane with a flatbed truck, and the owner of BURGER also rented a helicopter to film this scene and make a promotional disc for customers to see, and the Chilean media also paid attention to this "performance art". Sany Heavy Industry has become famous in this way and has also opened up the Chilean market, so it is not surprising that it was selected by the Chilean government as a rescue equipment this time.

■I'm sorry I didn't put on the national flag

According to Hao Heng, BURGER's winning plan is that in order to effectively prevent the rock at the entrance of the cave from loosening, it will first use a crawler crane SCC4000 Sany Heavy Industry to install a steel casing in the 624-meter-long hole, and then lift the "rescue capsule".

Although each section of the steel casing weighs only 5 tons, many equipment can be hoisted, but because the length of each section is 24 meters, the boom height of the general hoisting equipment is not enough, and there is no problem at all for the crawler crane SCC4000 Sany Heavy Industry, so the insurance coefficient of this scheme is 5661.

This plan is *5656 plan, but because the miners' families want to rescue the trapped people as soon as possible, after inspecting the situation of the rescue hole drilled, the rescue plan was changed to a second plan that uses a winch to lift more time-saving, and only 56 meters of steel pipe was laid at the entrance of the hole. However, Hao Heng was still notified to be on call 24 hours a day at the scene.

During the standby period, Hao Heng posted on Weibo, took photos, and shared his joy with many netizens. "At the rescue site, the most beautiful, the most spectacular, and the most advanced equipment is Sany Heavy Industry from China." Hao Heng said, "But I still have a regret. ”

"At that time, there were many rescue equipment from all over the world competing at the scene, and they all planted the flags of their respective countries, including the United States and Canada. I was looking for a five-star red flag to put on the device and let people know that this Big Mac was from China. But unfortunately, there was no way to find it at that time, which is a pity. ”

But Hao Heng later thought of a way. After obtaining the consent of the partner, I made a Sany LOGO and pasted it on the machine, so that people would know that it was equipment from China.

The media also paid attention to the Chinese engineer wearing a Sany red hard hat and overalls, reporting on him and the giant equipment he served, and he was warmly welcomed by the airport staff on his way back to China.

■ Chinese equipment wins respect

In the Shanghai Industrial Park, officials of the Chilean delegation said that the humanitarian spirit of Sany Enterprise and the advanced equipment have given great support to the rescue work. The Chilean delegation also gave a detailed introduction to Chile's investment environment and expressed its good wishes for Sany to develop in Chile.
