In the blue sea of Zhuhai Gaolan Port, covering an area of 6,000 acres, Sany Marine Heavy Industry (Zhuhai) Industrial Park is intensively leveling the site, a planning map shows the ambition of "Sany": focusing on the three major businesses of port machinery, engineering ships and marine engineering equipment including drilling platforms, Sany Group will achieve the goal of "three major businesses and three tens of billions" within five years.

Aiming at marine construction machinery and creating diversified growth of enterprises, this is another grand event for Sany Group to show its innovation and competitive strength. "Create a first-class enterprise, create first-class talents, and make first-class contributions", for these "three first-class", Sany Group has not only innovated, and in 23 years, it has built itself into a global *5655 concrete machinery manufacturing base.

"One high and two cores" let high-quality products change the pattern

In the 90s of the last century, foreign brands monopolized China's construction machinery market, 95% of concrete machinery was imported, large-tonnage crawler lifting machinery all relied on imports, and nearly 100% of excavation machinery was monopolized by foreign brands. In 1994, Sany Heavy Industry first attacked concrete pumping machinery, focusing on the core technologies such as "electro-hydraulic control integration" of concrete pumps and pump trucks, "design and manufacture of long booms of pump trucks", and "three-level concrete pumping", and developed 5656 large-displacement and high-pressure concrete pumps that year, which is also China's 5656 trailer pumps with independent intellectual property rights development system. In the following years, Sany Trailer Pump won the reputation of "China's Pump King" in the process of pouring Hong Kong International Financial Center, Shanghai World Financial Center and other engineering projects.

"The boom is one meter long, and it is difficult to go to the sky." This sentence of the global concrete pump truck industry has not stopped Sany people from surpassing the pace of progress. In 1999, after Sany successfully developed a 37-meter boom pump truck, it has successively made R&D breakthroughs of 48 meters, 56 meters, 66 meters, 72 meters and 86 meters, and has always maintained the record of 5661 in international counterparts.

It was this ever-extending boom that allowed Sany to play a role in the Great Japanese Earthquake that occurred last year. At that time, Japan's Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant was in urgent need of reliable equipment to inject water into the nuclear reactor to cool down, and Sany donated a 62-meter pump truck free of charge, which quickly had a cooling effect and won wide recognition from the Japanese government and all walks of life. In August 2011, Sany's trailer pump officially participated in the construction of Japan's *5656 high-rise building - Osaka Abeno Center Building, which is China's construction machinery products *5656 times to participate in the construction of Japan's landmark project.

Believe in yourself and dare to be the first. Sany has conquered the city and created miracles in the field of major construction machinery such as concrete machinery, excavators, wheeled cranes, crawler cranes, etc. In Sany's workshop, the world's first all-hydraulic grader and the world's first microfoamed asphalt cement mortar truck were born, and the world's deepest drillingRotary drilling rigsand a large number of high-quality products.

In the Chilean mining disaster rescue in October 2010, the "Shenzhou*5656 crane" crawler crane developed by Sany was selected by the Chilean government to participate in the rescue of trapped miners, which won the world reputation for Made in China.

With the exemplary role of "leader", Sany has promoted the overall improvement of the quality of domestic construction machinery products, and changed the market pattern of construction machinery, making the market share of Chinese brands and foreign brands from the previous 1:9 to 9:1.

R&D training allows employees to make the best use of their talents

Taking innovation as the driving force of enterprise development and progress, Sany is not only willing to invest in R&D and innovation, but also attaches importance to the cultivation of innovative talents. The group invests 5%-7% of its sales revenue in R&D every year, creating a team of nearly 7,000 high-quality innovative talents.

"R&D is Sany's core competitiveness, and Sany's training of R&D engineers is also the first." Tang Xiuguo, president of Sany Group, told reporters. From a six-month pre-job training, a year-long interdisciplinary training course, a master's program in engineering in cooperation with universities, and the recently launched training course for engineers in Vietnam...... The training accompanies the growth of R&D personnel.

Sany Group boldly appoints and promotes young talents, provides innovative forms of training such as grassroots training, and breaks the bottleneck of scientific and technological talents in practical operation. "According to our experience, an engineering graduate needs at least three years of training before he can engage in front-line product research and development. However, in Sany, through the flexible training mechanism, fresh graduates can participate in actual product development after only one year of intensive training. At present, Sany Group has also undertaken the task of tackling key problems in several national 863 projects. As of December 31, 2011, Sany Group has applied for 4,141 patents and authorized a total of 2,457, ranking 5,656 in China's construction machinery industry.
