He is Liang Wengen.
Pursue eighteen years to become a party member
In 2007, Liang Wengen was elected as a representative of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and became a private entrepreneur in Hunan. In 2012, Liang was once again honored as a representative of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, becoming one of the few representatives of the private enterprise party in the country.
As the main founder of Sany Group and chairman of Sany Heavy Industry, Liang Wengen is a representative of the 8th, 9th and 10th National People's Congress, and has won the honorable titles of "National Model Worker", "National Private Entrepreneur", "Builder of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics", "Person of the Year in China's Economy", "Boss of China's Listed Companies" by Forbes, and the winner of the "Mondell World Manager Achievement Award". Among the many honors, Liang Wengen said that being elected as a representative of the party congress has a special meaning for him.
Liang Wengen officially became a member of the Communist Party of China in 2004, but he pursued it for 18 years. After being admitted to the Central South Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Liang Wengen wrote 5656 applications for joining the party in his life. Liang Wengen said: "My motivation for joining the party for the first time was not very clear, but I only felt that it was a very honorable thing, because at that time, rural girls wanted to find party members. It wasn't until I started my own business that I realized that only by linking myself with the party's cause could I realize my ideals. "
In 1983, Liang Wengen graduated from university and was assigned to Hongyuan Machinery Factory of the Ministry of Ordnance Industry. At the beginning of his career, his innovative ideas and talents made him stand out, and he was soon promoted to the director of the factory restructuring office. It was at this time that he submitted his second application to join the party. But this time he joined the party* and missed the opportunity because Liang Wengen chose to resign and go to sea.
Soon after he went to the sea to do business, he expressed his desire to become a party member to the local party organization for the third time. The provincial leaders at that time attached great importance to it, but because there were restrictions on private business owners joining the party at that time, the number of employees could not exceed seven. This regulation once again deprived Liang of the opportunity to become a member of the Chinese Communist Party.
In 2002, the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) sent an important message: we must respect and protect all labor that is beneficial to the people and society, and we should not simply take whether or not there is property and how much property we have as the criterion for judging people's political progress and backwardness, but mainly look at their political ideology and practical performance, and look at their contributions to the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics with their own labor. Accordingly, private entrepreneurs can not only join the party, but also private enterprises can set up party organizations.
This is exciting news for Liang Wengen.
In the winter of 2002, Sany Group established a party committee, and Liang Wengen became the target of 5,656 party members. Two years later, Liang Wengen finally joined the Communist Party of China, and his dream finally came true after 18 years of pursuit and hard work.

He Zhenlin, deputy secretary of the Sany Party Committee *5656, once told reporters.
In this regard, Liang Wengen once said with emotion: "After I joined the Communist Party, I integrated the party's cause with the Sany cause, and Sany really found the direction. Facts have also proved Liang Wengen's confession: since the establishment of the party committee of the group, the company has developed by leaps and bounds, forming an average annual growth scale of 60%, and the turnover in 2011 is expected to exceed 80 billion yuan. On March 21 this year, the National Conference on Party Construction of Non-public Enterprises was held, and Liang Wengen was invited to participate as a representative of the first enterprise in Hunan Province. The delegates were cordially received by the party and state leaders.
