On October 9, the U.S. District Court in Washington dismissed the lawsuit filed by Sany Affiliates against U.S. President Barack Obama, once again attracting huge attention from domestic and foreign media. Many reporters called to ask about Sany's attitude on the matter. In fact, Sany's attitude has always been very clear, that is, the process is more important than the result, and dignity is more important than money, and Sany will continue to protect its legitimate rights and interests through legal means, and is full of confidence in winning the final victory of the Obama case.
After the federal district court ruled that the government's motion to dismiss the case came out, some media thought that Sany's case against Obama was over and that Sany had lost, but this was not the case. In the United States, after the plaintiff sues, the defendant has the right to file a motion to dismiss the plaintiff's lawsuit, but after the lawsuit is withdrawn, the plaintiff also has the right to continue the lawsuit to the appellate court, and through multiple levels of courts, all the way to *. We expect that the US court's judgment will resolutely appeal and protect our legitimate rights and interests.
The Obama case is actually very simple, we believe that our rights and interests have been unduly harmed, and the decree of the President of the United States violates international law and American law, and we must defend our rights through legal means. We have always emphasized that we have not violated the laws of the United States, and we have never done anything unreasonable in the United States.
Through this case, we want to show the U.S. government, the U.S. business community, and the U.S. people what a real Chinese company looks like, and we want to tell them that it's time to take off the "colored glasses" for Chinese companies, and that Chinese companies are here to do business and seek common development, not to cause trouble. At the same time, we also hope that through this case, we can provide a model for Chinese enterprises to learn from and refer to how to deal with foreign injustice, explore a visible path for the internationalization of Chinese enterprises, and truly realize the "dignified" development of Chinese enterprises on a global scale.
There is an old Chinese saying that "if you don't fight, you don't know each other". We chose to sue Obama and CFIUS because we believe we have no problem, because we believe in the laws of the United States, and because we believe in the understanding of the U.S. government, the American business community, and the American people. Therefore, we are confident that we will win the Obama case. We are optimistic that this case may even develop into a landmark event in promoting people-to-people diplomacy between China and the United States.
"The sea is inclusive, and tolerance is great". We believe that freedom, perseverance, self-confidence, bravery, innovation, collaboration, and equality ...... The spiritual temperament and corporate culture embodied in these "Trinity" are also the essence of the American spirit, and they are also the common character of all nations, groups and individuals on this planet who dare to explore the unknown world and pursue their dreams. We are confident that the U.S. government and the U.S. business community will uphold a tradition of freedom and openness that has lasted for more than 200 years and treat all foreign investors equally.
Internationalization is Sany's "third venture". In the first half of 2013, Sany's revenue in foreign markets increased by 66.5% year-on-year, achieving international sales revenue of 5.439 billion yuan, accounting for 24.6% of the company's total sales revenue. The internationalization of Trinity is accelerating, and the prosecution of the U.S. government and Obama is just an episode in Trinity's internationalization. It is believed that through this case, more Chinese enterprises will learn to take advantage of the rules and walk internationally with their chests high, and the road for the development of Chinese enterprises will become wider and wider. ▲ (The author is vice chairman and president of Sany Heavy Industry)
