Recently, in accordance with the deployment of the leading group of the Ethiopia-Hunan Industrial Park project in Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, the project team held the first overseas investment promotion meeting in 2017, which was attended by the heads of 30 enterprises including Sany Heavy Industry.

At the promotion meeting, the project team introduced the economic and social development of Ethiopia, focusing on the background, industry types and supporting policies of the Ethiopia-Hunan Industrial Park project, and demonstrated the functional positioning, service scope and confidence and determination of Hunan enterprises to expand the Ethiopian market of the Ethiopia-Hunan Industrial Park comprehensive service platform.

With the in-depth implementation of China's "One Belt, One Road" strategy, in the trend of more open and mutually beneficial cooperation, more and more Chinese enterprises are rapidly integrating into the world, investing in overseas factories and contracting engineering projects, especially China and African countries to jointly promote the "three networks and one in" and production capacity cooperation, there will be more "Made in China" machinery and equipment exported overseas. Ethiopia is an important partner of China in Africa's production capacity cooperation, and Ethiopia's current economic development strategy provides a good opportunity for Chinese enterprises, especially Hunan enterprises, to participate in Ethiopia's economic construction.

It is reported that the Ethiopia-Hunan Industrial Park is a specific action to implement the "open rise" strategy of the Hunan Provincial Party Congress, and it is also a *5658 model development zone promoted by China's provincial level in Africa. Located in Nazret (also known as Adama) in Ethiopia, the 4.12-square-kilometer industrial park project is planned to be developed and constructed in two phases, with the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone taking the lead in daily operation and management.
