Technological innovation in Qinghai Oilfield has promoted the speed and efficiency of drilling operations

Qinghai Oilfield has strengthened the management of drilling projects to ensure that well control safety continues to be controlled. As of August 13, the cumulative drilling footage of Qinghai Oilfield was 639,400 meters, and the pass rate of well casing quality reached 100%. Due to the complex formation pressure system in Qaidam Basin, the characteristics of geological reservoirs are quite different, and there are many wells with "three highs and two shallows", which affects the speed and efficiency of drilling operations. Compared with the same period last year, the average ROP increased by 12.36% and the well construction period was shortened by 7.6% when the average well depth increased by 67 meters.



Optimization of completion technology for long horizontal wells. The rotary geosteering system was applied to 5 horizontal wells in Fengxi, which solved the problems of thin target layer, low reservoir drilling rate and difficult horizontal trajectory control, and the reservoir drilling rate increased from 74% to 97%, and the well quality qualification rate was 100%. Well I.H1-5 and Well I.H2-3 in Fengxi adopted the floating casing cementing technology, which solved the problem of casing obstruction in the horizontal section of the horizontal well, and ensured the cementing construction quality of the long horizontal well.

Optimization of well structure in key areas. For the high-temperature deep wells in the risk exploration areas of Hero Ridge, Altun Mountain and the belly of the basin, the Qinghai Oilfield was dynamically adjusted according to the actual drilling situation to meet the needs of the deep well structure exploration in the Qaidam Basin.

Optimization of drilling fluid system. In order to solve the problem of rheology and filtration of high-temperature drilling fluid, Qinghai Oilfield introduced foreign ultra-high temperature treatment agent on the basis of the 210 degree Celsius polyamine organic salt drilling fluid system, which was successfully applied in Well Alkali Exploration 1.

Optimization of cementing slurry system. In order to solve the problems of production layer deficit, high casing cementing leakage rate and difficult cementing quality guarantee in Shibei Gas Field, Qinghai Oilfield promoted nano-based low-density cement slurry in the low-pressure reservoir section of Shibei Gas Field, cemented 101 wells, reduced the leakage rate by 21 percentage points, and increased the qualified rate of single well cementing quality to 96.04%.
