On August 17, the National Energy Administration released the national power industry statistics from January to July. As of the end of July, the country's installed power generation capacity was 2.27 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power was 290 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 34.4%. The installed capacity of solar power generation was 270 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%.The newly installed capacity of wind power generation was 12.57 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 4.01 million kilowatts.

From January to July, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 2,212 hours, an increase of 130 hours over the same period last year. Among them, 4,532 hours of nuclear power, an increase of 327 hours over the same period of the previous year; 1,371 hours of wind power, an increase of 98 hours over the same period of the previous year.

From January to July, the country's major power generation enterprises completed an investment of 222.7 billion yuan in power projects, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%, of which hydropower was 53.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.1%; solar power generation was 19.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%. The investment in power grid projects was 202.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.2%.
