Sinopec Subei shale oil demonstration well has set a number of records!

Recently, the Shuaiye 3-7HF well, a shale oil integration demonstration well in northern Jiangsu Province provided technical support by Sinopec Petroleum Engineering Technology Research Institute, was successfully drilled, with a drilling depth of 5132.66 meters and a horizontal section length of 1361.66 meters, setting a new domestic construction record of 8 domestic construction records, such as the deepest well depth, the longest horizontal section and the longest construction of high-performance water-based drilling fluid drilling openhole section of a wellbore with a diameter of 118 mm.

Well Shuaiye 3-7HF is a shale oil well deployed by East China Oil and Gas Branch in the deep concave belt of Qintong Sag in the North Jiangsu Basin, which is the first horizontal well with a diameter of 118 mm in the work area. After receiving the technical support task of the well, the Engineering Institute attached great importance to it, set up an expert technical team, supported the front, fully investigated the construction data of the block, and formulated a detailed construction plan from the aspects of well casing structure optimization, drill bit screw optimization and construction of high-performance drilling fluid system in view of technical difficulties, which supported the construction of the well with high quality and efficiency.

In the next step, the technical team of the Engineering Institute will continue to carry out technical research around the technical problems in the northern Jiangsu work area, and make new contributions to promoting the efficient exploration and development of shale oil wells.
