According to the latest data from the National Energy Administration, from January to November this year, China's annual power generation of new energy exceeded 1,000 billion kilowatt hours for the first time, reaching 1,035.57 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 32.97%. From January to November, the proportion of electricity consumption in the whole society reached 13.8%, a year-on-year increase of 2.14 percentage points, which is basically equivalent to the national electricity consumption data of urban and rural residents in the same period. Among them, wind power generation, solar power generation, and biomass power generation reached 586.67 billion kWh, 300.9 billion kWh, and 148 billion kWh respectively, an increase of 40.8%, 24.3%, and 23.4% year-on-year respectively, and the contribution of new energy power generation to the national power supply continued to increase.
In recent years, China's new energy represented by wind power and photovoltaic power generation has achieved leapfrog development. At the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", China's annual cumulative power generation of wind power, photovoltaic power generation and biomass power generation was 278.2 billion kilowatt hours, accounting for about 5% of the total power generation. At the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan, this figure reached 859.6 billion kWh, an increase of 309% year-on-year, and the role of clean energy substitution was highlighted.
The scale of development and utilization ranks first in the world. As of the end of October 2021, the cumulative installed capacity of renewable energy power generation in China reached 1.002 billion kilowatts, exceeding 1 billion kilowatts, accounting for 43.5% of the country's total installed power generation capacity, an increase of 10.2 percentage points over the "12th Five-Year Plan". Among them, the installed capacity of wind power, solar power generation and biomass power generation reached 299 million kilowatts, 282 million kilowatts and 35.34 million kilowatts respectively, all of which continued to rank first in the world, providing strong support for the green and low-carbon transformation of energy.
Maintain a high level of utilization, and the consumption situation continues to improve. In the first three quarters of this year, the average utilization rate of wind power in China was 96.9%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points over the same period of last year, and the curtailment of wind power was about 14.78 billion kWh, and the average utilization rate of photovoltaic power generation was 98.0%, down 0.3 percentage points year-on-year, and the curtailment of solar power was about 5.02 billion kWh.
According to the relevant person in charge of the National Energy Administration, by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan", renewable energy will change from the original incremental supplement of energy and electricity consumption to the main body of energy and electricity consumption.
In 2021, Sany Renewable Energy's power generation capacity of several wind power projects reached record highs, contributing to the development of new energy.
