Hunan's first new energy heavy truck! Completed 5,000 kilometers of autonomous driving road tests



On June 20, in the Xiangjiang Intelligent Network Industrial Park, a Sany New Energy self-driving logistics heavy truck loaded with a trailer flexibly realized lane change overtaking, detour, etc., and its skilled driving skills were comparable to those of "old drivers".

This is the application scenario of the 5G smart logistics demonstration project jointly created by Xiangjiang New Area, Sany Heavy Industry and Xiangjiang Intelligent Company. At present, the project has completed the R&D test of the first local new energy autonomous driving logistics heavy truck in Hunan Province, and is expected to obtain the highway autonomous driving test license in July.

On February 4, 2021, Xiangjiang New Area, Sany Heavy Industry and Xiangjiang Intelligent Co., Ltd. signed the "Intelligent Connected and Intelligent Construction Machinery Integration Innovation Application Platform Project Cooperation Agreement" Integrated and collaborative smart logistics overall solutions and industry standards.

It is understood that at present, the project has completed the R&D and mass production of a Sany new energy wire-controlled chassis heavy truck. Based on the wire-controlled chassis, the R&D test of two networked autonomous driving logistics heavy trucks has been completed, and the autonomous driving closed test of the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Changsha) test area has passed, with a cumulative autonomous driving test mileage of more than 5,000 kilometers.

In addition to intelligent driving logistics heavy trucks, the construction of the 5G smart logistics demonstration line in Xiangjiang New Area is also being comprehensively promoted, and most of the intelligent transformation of the high-speed section of the demonstration line has been completed. The project will build an intercity smart logistics and transportation network covering Changsha, Ningxiang and other key areas based on the daily logistics and transportation needs from Sany Xingsha Industrial Park to Ningxiang Industrial Park in three years, and launch no less than 10 intelligent driving heavy trucks to carry out demonstration operations.
