On June 7, equipped with Sany's self-developed Magic Tower battery, Sany electric heavy truck Magic Tower 1165 arrived in Shenzhen from Changsha at high speed, and then transferred to Dongguan Logistics Park, with a single charge and a range of 817.5 kilometers, winning the world record honor for the longest distance driven by a semi-trailer electric truck on a single charge.

With the magic of endurance without charging the Magic Tower battery, the total weight of the car + cargo is 40.45 tons, the average energy consumption is 1.17kWh/km, and the Magic Tower 1165 breaks the challenge target (800 kilometers) with 817.5 kilometers.

Today, for the first time, the technical details of Sany's self-developed Magic Tower battery with ultra-low energy consumption, the world's longest cruising range, and the world's largest battery power were revealed.

Sany has made a breakthrough in adopting Magic Tower battery technology plus wire control technology, directly integrating the battery on the chassis, the chassis is the battery, the battery is also the chassis, this chassis integration technology can greatly reduce the use of excess wiring harnesses and components of the chassis, so that the chassis is smoother.

The total power of the Magic Tower 1165 exceeds 1100 kWh, and the energy density is increased by 40%, making it the largest on-board battery system in the heavy-duty truck industry.

The Magic Tower battery adopts a new architecture, which reduces electrical connections by 80%, and eliminates all wiring harnesses and internal connectors, reducing electrical risks and greatly improving maintenance convenience.

Magic tower batteries are safer and more stable than commercial vehicle batteries on the market. The battery adopts a new multi-circuit control method, and each circuit can work separately, greatly reducing the risk of lying down.

The BMS control system independently developed by Sany adopts distributed control, which is accurate to each battery cell, and can be immediately fed back and dealt with in case of abnormality to ensure the work safety of the battery cell.

The overall thermal management efficiency is increased by 30% compared with traditional battery packs, and the heating time in winter is shortened by 20%, and the thermal insulation performance of conventional battery packs is 4 times that of conventional battery packs at -20°C.

With such a large amount of power, will charging time be the biggest problem? Inexistent!

Magic Tower 1165 adopts an 800V voltage platform, specially developed a four-gun super charging mode, the charging power can reach up to 800kw, which can achieve charging from 10% to 90% in only 1.5 hours, and the driver can fully charge the battery during lunch break.
