Recently, the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of the third batch of "5G + Industrial Internet" demonstration factories, and a total of 10 factories were selected, and the two major projects of "Sany (Shaoshan) Wind Power 5G + Industrial Internet Project" and "Heavy Commercial Vehicle Intelligent Manufacturing Factory Based on 5G + Industrial Internet" were on the list, becoming the "Hunan model" to accelerate the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry.

In the Sany (Shaoshan) Wind Power 5G + Industrial Internet Demonstration Factory, integrating technologies such as 5G, high-precision positioning and digital twins, Sany Renewable Energy has independently developed the first digital element platform for wind power manufacturing in China to realize the digital and intelligent IoT of virtual factories and real factories, which is equivalent to creating a "one-to-one" online digital factory in addition to the physical factory.

The platform realizes the intelligent supervision of the whole production factor of "man-machine-material-method-environment-quality", implements whole-process control of all process links that affect product quality, changes the traditional production mode of wind turbine blades, greatly improves the product quality and production efficiency of wind turbine blades, and provides customers with high-quality wind power products. In March this year, Sany Renewable Energy's world's longest 104-meter onshore wind turbine blade rolled off the production line at the plant.

In the 5th "Blooming Cup" 5G Application Solicitation Competition hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the project also stood out and was highly recognized.

Walking into Sany Heavy Truck's heavy-duty commercial vehicle intelligent manufacturing factory based on 5G + industrial Internet, the production lines are neatly arranged, the AGV automatic transport vehicles shuttle back and forth, the huge industrial robots lift the weight lightly, and the robotic arms equipped with visual sensing dance flexibly...... The entire factory is shrouded in an invisible 5G network.

The overall scheme of the project is 1 network + 8 application scenarios, using industry-leading 5G + industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing technology to realize the implementation of 5G in 8 industrial application scenarios such as production process traceability, intelligent logistics in the factory area, equipment collaborative operation, production energy efficiency control, etc., and carry out application demonstrations in the whole manufacturing process of intelligent networked heavy trucks and their core components, such as stamping, welding, painting, assembly, and logistics.

Driven by data, the factory integrates supply resources, automatically schedules production, optimizes resource utilization, maximizes production efficiency, and achieves a ≥ 99% automation rate of material distribution, a 50% increase in workshop distribution efficiency, a 166% increase in site utilization, a 100% automation rate of workshop robots, and a 10% reduction in electricity costs.

Starting from 2021, Hunan has successively announced three batches of a total of 30 "5G + Industrial Internet" demonstration factories, of which Sany has restarted "5G + Industrial Internet".Truck cranesFactory Application Scenarios", Sany Heavy Truck's "Heavy-duty Commercial Vehicle Intelligent Manufacturing Factory Based on 5G + Industrial Internet", and Sany Renewable Energy's "Sany (Shaoshan) Wind Power 5G + Industrial Internet Project", a total of three major projects have been on the list, constantly playing a benchmarking and demonstration role, leading the industry upgrading, and contributing to the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry and the realization of the beautiful blueprint of "three highs and four new".
