The event received great attention from the leaders of the Wuxi Municipal Government Ecological Environment Bureau, the Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Transportation Bureau, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, the Jiangsu Concrete Industry Association, and more than 300 colleagues in the commercial mixing industry in Jiangsu Province.

In order to realize the "green, low-carbon and intelligent" production of ready-mixed concrete, East China Materials Wuxi Commercial Mixing Platform has reached a strategic cooperation with Sany Heavy Industry. In December 2022, the first batch of 30 Sany electric mixer trucks ran smoothly, coupled with the additional 25 electric mixer trucks put into operation this time, through the vehicle management and charging pile operation platform built with the assistance of Sany, the "vehicle-pile-network" interaction of the demonstration base was realized, and the operation efficiency was optimized while ensuring the safe operation of driving, making positive contributions to air pollution control, noise and dust pollution in Wuxi, and since then it has also opened a precedent for the transformation of commercial concrete transportation equipment in Wuxi to new energy.

At the scene, Wang Haiming, chief engineer of the Ecological Environment Bureau of Wuxi Municipal Government, said that this is the first concrete enterprise in Wuxi to introduce pure electric mixer trucks on a large scale to replace the elimination of fuel vehicles. The green and low-carbon demonstration base created by East China Materials, including 55 pure electric mixer trucks of Sany Heavy Industry, will play a positive demonstration effect on reducing energy consumption and pollutant emissions for Wuxi commercial and mixed enterprises.

At the handover ceremony, Bi Keliang, member of the Party Committee, vice president and chairman of the labor union of East China Materials Co., Ltd., said that the delivery ceremony marks the official operation of the first green and low-carbon demonstration base created by East China Materials, and it will become a phased achievement of East China Materials to promote pure electric substitution projects. Huadong Materials will continue to explore the road of electrification development together with Sany Heavy Industry, and play a leading role in the demonstration of commercial mixed transportation in Wuxi.

Zhang Yuhua, general manager of East China Materials' Wuxi commercial mixing operation platform, said in an interview that the application of 30 Sany electric mixer trucks in the early stage has brought obvious social and economic benefits to the company. In the later stage, Huadong Materials will continue to purchase new energy equipment, accelerate green transformation, and make greater contributions to the national "double carbon" goal, energy conservation and emission reduction.
