The 4th International Conference on Digital Twins was held on October 14-18 at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and invited Prof. Pickl, Academician of the German National Academy of Sciences and Engineering, Prof. Anwer of the University of Saclay (CIPR Fellow, AET Fellow), Prof. Andrew Nee of the National University of Singapore (SME Fellow, SAEng Fellow), and Daniel of the Ecole Polytechnique of Paris, France Professor Krob (CESAMES Chairman, INCOSE Fellow), Professor Fu Zhao of Purdue University (ASME Fellow), Professor Aurich of the German Institute of Manufacturing Technology and Production Systems (CIRP Fellow), Dr. Gordon of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and other internationally renowned experts and scholars made wonderful reports.
More than 2,000 people from 21 countries around the world, including China, the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Spain, Australia, and Canada, attended the conference.Mr. Yongjun Xu, Deputy General Manager of Sany Group and President of Digital Twin Research Institute, was invited to attend the conference and delivered a report entitled "The Practice and Thinking of Digital Twin Technology in Heavy Equipment Industry".

Since its establishment in 2021, Sany Group Digital Twin Research Institute has successively conquered more than 20 difficult simulation technologies such as weld fatigue simulation of structural parts, thermal comfort simulation of cab, thermal management simulation of electric and electric systems, vehicle ride simulation, electromagnetic compatibility simulation, electrochemical simulation, and performance prototype of the whole machine, and compiled and released the first "Simulation Technology Application Manual" in the construction machinery industry; It has independently developed digital twin platform software, forming a product performance optimization and intelligent operation and maintenance solution based on digital twin. Participated in the compilation of 1 international standard, 5 national standards, 11 group standards in the field of digital simulation and digital twins, such as IEEE P3144 Standard for Digital Twin Maturity Model and GB/T44247-2024 Manufacturing Digital Simulation Classification, applied for 25 invention patents, and published 12 academic papers; He has delivered 17 speeches at digital simulation and digital twin conferences at home and abroad, and won more than 10 industry awards such as the Outstanding Contribution Award of the 2024 Digital Simulation Technology Award, the Outstanding Case Award of the 5th China Simulation Technology Application Conference, and the Outstanding Application Award of the 20th China CAE Engineering Analysis Technology Annual Conference.
The establishment of the Digital Twin Research Institute marks that the application of digital simulation and digital twin technology of Sany Group has entered the fast lane, accelerating the comprehensive improvement of product reliability, comfort, smoothness, power economy, environmental adaptability, electromagnetic compatibility and other performance, continuing to lead the development and engineering practice of digital simulation and digital twin technology in the industry, and significantly enhancing Sany's influence in the field of digital simulation and digital twin at home and abroad.
