Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China officially issued the General Requirements for Information Technology Equipment Digital Twin System (GB/T 45626-2025), which will be implemented on November 1, 2025.

Among the more than 80 participating units in the country, Sany Heavy Machinery, a subsidiary of Sany Group, as the only representative enterprise in the construction machinery industry, is deeply involved in the formulation of standards, following the previous participation in the compilation of the first cross-industry general national standard in the field of digital twins, "Information Technology Digital Twin Part 1: General Requirements", as the only representative of the industry, once again demonstrating its leading position in digital transformation.

The national standard released this time regulates the reference architecture, basic requirements, functional requirements and safety requirements of equipment digital twins, and is suitable for guiding suppliers and users in the field of digital twins to carry out R&D, application and services of relevant systems or products.

Dr. Lu Yangyang, an expert of the standard compilation team and director of the intelligent manufacturing headquarters of Sany Group, said: "This standard fills the gap in the construction specification of equipment digital twin system, and will provide guidance for the realization of equipment digital twin, which is of great significance for enterprises to 'find long boards and make up for shortcomings', promote the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of enterprises, and improve business QCD."
