Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ethiopia: I look forward to Sany deeply cultivating the Ethiopian market

On March 12, Dr. Alkabe, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, accompanied by Xu Xiangping, Director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, visited Sany Changsha Industrial Park and had an in-depth conversation with Xiang Wenbo, President of Sany Heavy Industry, on the friendly relations between China and Egypt, as well as Sany's investment and continuous development of wind power and other renewable energy markets in Ethiopia.

Signed a memorandum of cooperation on production capacity

On behalf of the Ethiopian government, Alkabe signed a memorandum of cooperation with Sany Group, Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, China Land Overseas and Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone.

The park will be based on the ADAMA Wind Power Industrial Park, and strive to form a modern equipment manufacturing cooperation park dominated by four major industrial sectors, including construction machinery, energy and power, automobiles and parts, and general equipment, in 2020. Sany will invest in the construction of the parkWind power equipmentHigh-end equipment manufacturing base mainly supplemented by other equipment.

Pay attention to the Sany wind power industry and housing industrialization

Ethiopia has huge potential wind power resources, and the government has always regarded new energy as an important strategy for national power development. In 2013, Sany Equipment won the bid for the procurement of ADAMA Phase II wind power equipment in Ethiopia, a new energy project with a scale of *5655 in East Africa. In May 2015, after the installation of Sany 102 wind turbines, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia personally started power generation and expressed high appreciation for the role of this project in alleviating the power supply shortage.

During this visit, Alkabe paid special attention to the development of Sany wind power industry and hoped that Sany would continue to develop the Ethiopian wind power market. Xiang Wenbo said that Sany will give full play to its advantages in technology and financing to provide more solutions for the construction of wind power in Ethiopia.

Urban and housing planning is the focus of Ethiopia's development in the next five years. Dr. Alkabe hopes to introduce the technology and experience of the industrialization of Sany Housing. Xu Xiangping proposed that Sany can participate in the urban design, planning and construction of Ethiopia, make demonstration projects as soon as possible, and lead other enterprises in Hunan to participate in Ethiopia's economic construction.

Alkabe said that Ethiopia is currently learning from China's economic development experience and expects Chinese enterprises to join in renewable energy, housing industrialization, road construction, and large-scale venue construction, especially Sany with technology and capabilities.
