On November 28, the first robot programming skills competition of Sany Group ended in Changsha. 89 contestants from 26 teams from the whole group gathered together to participate in the award ceremony.
A heavy prize of 1.15 million yuan in cash and equity
This skills competition is the first robot programming skills competition held by an enterprise in the global construction machinery industry, and it is also the first comprehensive test of the robot programming ability of craftsmen within Sany.
The competition has set up four major competition projects: robot bevel cutting, offline programming, group welding, and spraying technology, all of which originate from the practical application scenarios of the "lighthouse factory". The scoring criteria include programming specifications, programming effects, beats, completion time, etc., which are practical, comprehensive and challenging.
According to the organizers of the event, the contestants participating in this competition are all top technicians selected by various units. During the period, the participants wrote programs, debugged programs, and operated robots on the spot according to requirements, accurately completed various event tasks, and showed a good skill level and spiritual outlook.

In the warm applause, the winners and representatives took the stage one after another and received up to 110,000 yuan in cash rewards and equity incentives respectively. Build the core capabilities of intelligent manufacturing
Liang Wengen, chairman of Sany Group, has repeatedly emphasized that "it is necessary to build robot programming capabilities as the core capabilities of the company's intelligent manufacturing to achieve dance with robots." In recent years, with the continuous advancement of Sany digitalization, it is becoming more and more common to have "new workers" who are proficient in emerging technologies in Sany "lighthouse factories" around the world.
In September 2020, Sany Group issued the "Sany Group Certification Incentive Measures for Robot Programming Languages", offering a huge reward of more than 80 million yuan to encourage the transformation of "new workers". At the same time, Sany has invested more than 20 million yuan to establish a robot programming training base of Sany Institute of Technology, and 1,261 craftsmen have participated in the training here.
At the award ceremony, Yi Xiaogang, director, executive president and director of Intelligent Manufacturing Headquarters of Sany Group, expressed his congratulations to the winners of this competition. He pointed out that robot programming is an important part of Sany "breakdown" intelligent manufacturing, and it is necessary to mobilize the enthusiasm of all the company's craftsmen to learn programming and master more new skills through the robot programming skills competition.
