In the face of industry changes with the dual challenges of resources and electricity prices, Sany Renewable Energy brought the industry's first onshore full-field adaptation model SI-242 series, full life cycle verification system and self-developed core components to the exhibition with the theme of "value symbiosis, reliable peers", announcing that wind power development has officially entered a new era of "high value".


Breaking the game: defining the industry's first onshore full-field adaptation model

When the industry is struggling to balance complex wind resources and development costs, Sany Renewable Energy took the lead in breaking the situation and launched the SI-242 ultra-large impeller series wind turbines, with a power spanning 5.6MW-12.5MW and an impeller diameter of 242 meters, breaking the limitations of traditional models on wind resource conditions, whether it is in the face of ultra-low wind speeds of less than 4.5m/s or high wind speeds of 25m/s, the SI-242 series is "at ease", and the extreme wind speed that can withstand is as high as 63m/s, truly realizing the wind speed from ultra-low wind speed, Accurate coverage of the whole field from medium wind speed to high wind speed.


Under the same development capacity, compared with the traditional solution, the SI-242 model can reduce the number of slots by about 6%-18%, directly hitting the pain points of wind power projects with tight slot resources and complex site selection, achieving better kWh costs, and reshaping the value boundary of wind power development.


Famous teachers: inherit reliable genes and deeply fit the operating environment

Sany Renewable Energy SI-242 series is not blindly seeking bigger, but based on the precise evolution of commercial value. The SI-242 series evolves from the mature 10MW model platform, inheriting the dual TRB spindle system and 3P1H front-end integrated gearbox design; The blade adopts a 3.6-meter leaf root node circle diameter, and the leaf root bolt is increased by about 15%, and the bearing capacity is increased by 20%.


At the same time, through platform-based and modular design, the high degree of versatility of key components is realized, and the same component has been fully verified by multiple models and projects, laying the reliable "foundation" of the unit from the source. At the same time, the modular flexible combination mechanism enables the SI-242 series models to accurately adapt to diverse site requirements and achieve a deep fit between the unit and the operating environment.

 

In-depth verification: More than 300 days of practical experience to forge a strong physique

Before the official launch, the test prototype of the SI-242 series has been tested at the Hami test wind farm in Xinjiang and has undergone in-depth verification for more than 300 days and nights. From the extreme cold of -30°C to the scorching heat of more than 40°C, in the wind and sand of the Gobi in the northwest, the technical team of Sany Renewable Energy has completed more than 1,000 pre-tests, which not only fully demonstrates the technical feasibility and product reliability, but also feeds back the design with real test data to achieve a full-link closed loop from verification to optimization. The wind outside the Great Wall has witnessed the inherent tenacity and reliability of the SI-242 series.

At the exhibition site, in addition to the official debut of the SI-242 series models, Sany Renewable Energy simultaneously demonstrated to the industry the "reliable" foundation behind the "high value" - the all-round testing and verification system and self-developed core components.


In order to ensure the reliability of the unit during its 20-year service life, Sany Renewable Energy has built an industry-leading all-round verification capability of "complete machine-subsystem-parts-material", exploring technical boundaries and physical limits with high-intensity tests far beyond realistic working conditions, and forging reliable "genes" of products. In December 2024, Sany Renewable Energy Wind Power Test Center officially obtained CNAS laboratory qualification certification, marking that the authority and credibility of its testing and verification capabilities have been recognized by national authorities.
