China's oil and gas industry analysis and outlook series of blue books released

The China Association of Petroleum Enterprises, the University of International Business and Economics, the China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and the Southwest Petroleum University jointly released a series of blue books on the analysis and outlook of China's oil and gas industry in Beijing.

There are four Blue Books released this time, namely the Blue Book of Analysis and Prospect Report on the Development of China's Oil and Gas Industry (2022-2023) (hereinafter referred to as the Blue Book of Oil and Gas Industry), the Blue Book of China's Low-Carbon Economic Development Report (2022-2023) (hereinafter referred to as the Blue Book of Low-Carbon Economy), the Blue Book of the Report on the Development of Refined Oil and New Energy (2022-2023) (hereinafter referred to as the Blue Book of Refined Oil and New Energy), and the Blue Book of the Annual Operation Report of China's Natural Gas Industry (2022- 2023)" (referred to as the "Blue Book of the Natural Gas Industry"). The four blue books focus on the development status and development direction of China's energy industry, depict a panoramic and three-dimensional picture of the evolution of the oil and gas market, and judge the future trend of the energy industry.

The Blue Book of Refined Oil and New Energy is expected to recover China's demand for refined oil this year, an increase of 9.1% over the previous year, and the volume of crude oil processing and refined oil production will rebound this year, and the market supply is relatively sufficient.

In addition, China's ecological civilization construction has entered a critical period with carbon reduction as the key strategic direction, promoting the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction, and realizing the improvement of ecological environment quality from quantitative to qualitative change. The Blue Book of Low-Carbon Economy pointed out that in 2022, the energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of gross domestic product (GDP) in China will decrease by 0.1% compared with the previous year, and the carbon dioxide emissions per 10,000 yuan of GDP will decrease by 0.8%, and energy conservation, consumption reduction and emission reduction will be steadily promoted. According to the Blue Book of the Natural Gas Industry, natural gas will play a transitional and bridging role in a new round of energy conversion, and it is expected that China's natural gas consumption will continue to grow this year.
