According to authoritative statistics, from January to November 2016, the total sales volume of pavers was 1,829 units, an increase of 120 units over the same period in 2015, a year-on-year increase of 7.02%, and continued to maintain a slight upward trend. A total of 17 enterprises included in the statistics this time, from the statistical product type, are self-propelled pavers, and according to the walking mode and transmission mode are counted separately, can be divided into: wheeled pavers, crawler pavers, as well as mechanical asphalt pavers, hydraulic asphalt pavers.

From the analysis of the annual sales trend, from January to November 2016, the growth of pavers was relatively stable. From the perspective of monthly sales changes, the overall sales trend is basically in line with the general trend of the market (see Figure 1).

Although the construction machinery industry was in a downturn in 2016, the sales of 17 brands showed a slight upward trend. (See Figure 2).

Tracked pavers are the main force in the market
From January to November 2016, tracked pavers were the main force in the market, with 1,649 units. The sales volume of wheeled pavers was 180 units, about 10% of the former (see Fig. 3 and Fig. 4).

The crawler paver has small grounding specific pressure, large adhesion, little crawler slippage phenomenon during paving operation, large traction, can resist the impact of the material truck, runs smoothly, brakes reliably, and is generally favored by users. Therefore, from the data of walking statistics, in the sales data from January to November 2016, crawler pavers are still the main models in the market, accounting for 90.16% of the total sales volume of the year.
