On the evening of March 27, the southwest corner of Kaifu Avenue and Ring Expressway in Kaifu District was brightly lit, and several Sany excavators shuttled back and forth on the construction site, racing against time to build Changsha Cabin Hospital.
It is reported that in order to improve the emergency response capacity, Changsha has started the construction of a shelter hospital, with a total construction area of 48,028 square meters, a planned bed of 2,450 beds, and medical equipment such as shelter CT, PCR laboratory, and mobile CT.
Since March 14, a total of 19 confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia have been reported in Changsha, and the genetic sequencing is the BA.2 evolutionary branch of the Omicron variant.
The construction of Changsha Fangtang Hospital began on March 22, covering the construction of the hospital and the improvement of power construction, with a total construction period of about 45 days. After receiving the construction news, a number of Sany equipment were dispatched to fight day and night to ensure the construction of the hospital.
In the face of the current complex, arduous and repeated severe situation of domestic epidemic prevention and control, the comprehensive group of the joint prevention and control mechanism of the State Council requires that all provinces should build or come up with construction plans according to the epidemic situation to ensure that each province can have at least 2-3 shelter hospitals.
At present, there are 33 shelter hospitals that have been built or are under construction in the country, distributed in 19 cities in 12 provinces, of which 20 have been completed and 13 are under construction, with a total of about 35,000 beds, and these shelter hospitals are mainly concentrated in Jilin, Shandong, Yunnan, Hebei, Fujian, Liaoning and other places.
